This was my first camera/video recorder. The quality is top tier for the price.

Coming from a similar Nikon, I found the G7 easy to use for photos. I stick with iA+ settings unless I want a dedicated shot under manual settings (especially for night shooting), otherwise letting the camera decide has been ok. The true hero is the 4k shooting. If you take the time to learn all the settings, this camera can be fun to use.

I bought this camera specifically for shooting video in 4K. So far it hasn't disappointed me. For stills it works really nicely as well.

In this price range, getting a 4K camera is almost unheard of but, Panasonic pulled it off. It has many of the bells and whistles of cameras which cost 3x as much but in an easy to carry package. The only negative to this camera and, I'm guessing all micro 4/3 Panasonic cameras, is the AF is very slow. But again, for the price, you can't beat it.

The camera was affordable. It's compact. The images look amazing and completely professional. Now I can make my own promotional videos or professional photo shoot without paying for a videographer or photographer!

This camera is my first mirrorless camera and I am very impressed. It not only shoots great still pictures, but it also shoots 4K video. The kit lens is very versatile and is great to learn digital photography.

Bought for my son at 200 off. Shoots pictures and video at 4K. Incredible camera for the price and perfect for my son who is into YouTube videos. Same quality as the higher end just not all the bells and whistles.

This is a great camera for shooting videos as well as stills. 16MP is more than enough to give you great prints at over 16X20". The video is great shooting at 4K. It doesn't overheat even when shooting back to back 4K videos until the battery runs out, which is about 70 minutes.

I'm still learning how to use all of the functionality. However, thus far I am blown away by the picture quality AND detail. I'm super happy with this camera.

This camera has been used and abused. It has been in light rain cold conditions and hot California Summers. This camera paired with a prime lens will give you a crispy epic look. Don't believe me just watch

Unbelievable what they packed into this point and shoot. Lens is remarkable! Beats the kit lenses on the G7 hands down. Photo capabilities on par with G7 and GH4. 4K video on top of that. Focal length could have been better, but with digital zoom added on not too bad. Serves purpose. Price point high but totally worth it. A true professional point and shoot as a backup camera to my others without changing lenses. I love the styling and feel. Battery life good. Grabs focus soooooo well. Love it!

Got this camera primarily for video projects, but discovered upon use that it places limits on the amount of video that can be recorded before it shuts off automatically. It does make great HD and 4K video and images, but the auto shutoff is annoying.

Love this camera! We are still getting used to the camera and how everything works but defiantly looks amazing thus far.

I use 3 LUMIX G7’s for a 3-camera setup for my podcast and they work great. The user interface is simple and they’ve been very easy to use with my Elgato capture cards. The only minor complaint is battery life for long form videos. You’ll need to purchase a dummy battery if you use this camera to record more than an hour at a time.
