I brought this home today and had it up and running in 5 minutes. This device was easy to set up for both Netflix and Pandora. I love that you can control a few features directly on the DVD player instead of always needing the remote (like turning the unit on and off). I am very pleased with this purchase!

BLUE RAY IS THE WAY TO GO IF YOU ARE GETTING A NEW TV. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS SO MUCH BETTER! THIS PANASONIC BLUE RAY PLAYER WORKS GREAT AND I PICKED IT UP AT BEST BUY FOR 100 BUCKS. THE INTERNET APPS ARE VERY FUN AND EASY TO USE AS WELL!. THEY ARE VERY USEFUL AND FUN.

It works well and easy to set up. I was having problems with my older more expensive playing some Blue=rays, this one is cheaper and playes one the other one wouldnt. Easy to connect to my home net owrk. the Netflix button is great because I don't have to da any thing except puch that one button.

I bought this Blu-Ray Player for only $63 along with a new TV. It was an open boxed item but the salesman who was helping me opened it up for me to look at it and it looked like it was never even touched (sold). The player is really light and you only need to plug in two cables HDMI and the power supply. After that your ready to go. The Wi-Fi also works flawlessly I almost always have a problem with Wi-Fi streaming devices but this one has 0 problems. I would replace all my Dvd/Blu-Ray players in the house with this model.

Great player for the money. Has all the smart apps and will play home movies from DLNA server which is an unheard of feature at this price point. Has both WIFI and Ethernet connection which is great. I have a wired access so having an Ethernet connection was important. DLNA connection to my network media server was also very important. I could not ask for a better non-3D Blu-Ray device. Also one great thing, the firmware was current right out of the box! Also the machine loads really fast on Blu-Rays!

- I purchased this player after a little research an consultation with 2 different Best Buy employees. Both assured me that it has Amazon Video on Demand (VOD). I have 2 other (older) Panasonic Blu-ray players and both have Amazon VOD. The Panasonic web site says this model has Amazon VOD. Upon turning it on and downloading the FW update, to my surprise, it had no Amazon VOD. Upon Further review or the Panasonic web-site, it states that it is coming soon in the small print. Caveat emptor. - It also did not play one of my Blu-ray discs (Moneyball). Not sure what's up with that - it plays in my other Panasonic players and my PC. - Overall I bought this because I liked my other Panasonic Blu-ray players. I like the navigation, remote and other features. I expect them to provide FW updates to fix these issues, but I think that this was released a month or 2 before it was ready.

I was using my XBOX 360 for Netflix & paying $50.00 a year for a LIVE account, which I don't play games online. So I decided to simply buy a Panasonic BR player. For $79.99 you simply cannot beat it. Easy set-up. Wi-Fi took a few minutes to get up & running. Love the built-in Wi-Fi vs. my older Pioneer BR player. Firmware upgrades are a snap. Amazing just how small all BR footprints are now. I must admit, I'm a total Panasonic fan boy. TV's, microwave, telephones, radios & even our coffee maker is a Panasonic! You really can't go wrong. It's a win-win.

Unless you care a lot about apps and/or need a 3D blu ray player, get the Panasonic BD89. It loads very quickly and the user interface is user-friendly. The remote has a simple and practical layout. I watch a lot of movies from my flash drive and this player supports the file types I use: avi and mp4. The user manual on Panasonic's website didn't even mention avi but it is compatible! It would have been 100% perfect if it supported m4v files but that isn't a big deal for at all. For 80 bucks, it just speaks to how great of a bargain this is.

We cut the cord (disconnected cable) back in Aug 2012 and have been streaming all out media. I picked this player up as a BD Gift for my 6 yr old son. Easy to set up, good signal strength as my router is in the basement and player is on 2nd floor. Positives: WIFI Remote has a one push "Netflix button" Hulu and Netflix = Happy Son.

We bought this for streaming Netflix in our bedroom and needed wifi price was good and is a slim design so it is a small unit. Works well haven't tried any blurays in it but works well for on demand streaming. My wife likes that if you are watching a season of a show it will keep streaming the next episode without showing the intro saves time.

Returned a Samsung BD-E5400 that was complete junk and got this instead. I love this Panasonic player!! Easy set up, very fast response time, not laggy with Netflix like the Samsung was. So far so good!

When we purchased/upgraded our TV, we also upgraded our old DVD player. We purchased this one based on price/features compared to other models available. We have been very happy so far, no problems, issues or complaints. Would buy again.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I didn't want to spend a lot as he watches movies every so often. The salesman recommended this one as we have a Panasonic tv. He said one advantage is getting the same brand as the tv eliminates an extra control. Easy set up & hubby was very happy.

This smart Bluray player lived up to the advertised ratings for easy setup via wifi, fast startup of bluray discs, and good upconversion of standard DVDs. I had hoped to get a Panasonic TV so that the remotes were maximally compatible. The functionality with the LG TV I bought is OK though.

Seems to have access to music on my pc.I guess thats good. Buy what else does it see on my pc. Padora runs well but tv speakers are not the best. I reduced my cable bill and added netflix for much less. Added remote is cumbersome.

I wanted a Blu Ray Player with the wi-fi in it and this was easy to set up and get the job done. I don't want a fancy blu ray just the nuts and bolts I didn't need 3-D or anything so this was a good unit for me with a good price to match.

Good quality Blue-ray player with many functions and ease of use.

This player is ok, I wish that an had gone with a Sony, which is what a friend and my parents have because I like how it is set up better, but everyone has their own preferences. It is easy to use and connects quickly to the Internet. My only complaints are that it is slow to turn on and that if you need to stop a movie and return to it at a later time, you cannot return to that exact spot or skip the previews (on most movies).

I just cancelled my dish network and wanted a device to help me find online shows and movies. This was perfect and I love it!
