Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been going nuts trying to figure out why some blue ray dvds lose the video signal frequently for 2 to 5 seconds at a time. Through hours of troubleshooting and investigation on av forums, I finally realized it was a fault in the player. It will work fine when hooked up to the tv directly, but does not send the signal properly when going through an AV receiver. So disappointing. Problem can be seen on certain films. Elysium is one. Captain Phillips is another.

Based on current reviews, there is a problem with the more recent batches of these players. I wouldn't bother buying it as you'll just have to take it back.

Froze during setup

Nothing works, tried new batteries and the power button on the unit itself - nothing! It is dead as a can be. Not happy about having to return to BB to select another. It won't be another one of this model for sure

Piece of Junk

The DVD door would never open. The remote always activated my DVR as well. No product support was available either from Panasonic or Geek Squad. I took it back.

Absolute Garbage
