Terrific little sound system. My very first purchase of a personal music system many years ago was a Panasonic and I loved it so much that I have high hopes for this one.

Great little unit and works great for certain needs... My daughter is a freshman at college and living in the dorms. That situation provides for, A) limited space and B) not great sound insulation. This being the smaller amplifier of the 2 units (20 watts compared to 80) it provides more than enough power to fill the dorm. Having Bluetooth, CD and FM it offers great options for music. She is a HUGE fan of a certaon pop-star named Taylor who is dating a tight-end for the Kansas Team named Travis... Shocking, I know. In any case she has her entire catalog on CD, vynil and digital. She did not bring her turntables (yes, that is MULTIPLE) to her dorm so CD and Bluetooth are perfect for her. As for set-up, it was simple. I watched her un-box and set up on her own in a matter of minutes. SImple. The only potential drawback is the speaker wires are not particularly long. Not a big deal for her set-up, but if someone wanted to get more space between the speakers for more stereo seperation. Use was also simple. The front was clean and intuitive. The included remote control was the same. Nice little unit. As for sound, as previously mentioned, this will not deliver the punch of it's 80 watt BIg Sister, but for dorms, apartments and other close-quarter living spaces, this is perfect. The sound quality is good. Nothing exceptional but hey, it's a book-shelf unit. End of the day, a great affordable choice if you have the need.

I ended returning stereo for better quality speaker system being Panasonic with 80 w output. . I’m sure it would have been great Stereo. Panasonic is one of my fav electronic equipment

This small bookshelf stereo system is an excellent option for your living room, bedroom, garage or even in the kitchen. The sound is pure and although the speakers are small, they provided a very high volume without distortion. The system came with a remote, two speakers and the control unit. The speakers have the wires attached internally at the speaker end and the control box provided a solid clip method to attach the color-coded wires. An FM antenna is included and the design of the connection to the control box was solid. A ferrite core is inclluded that you need to install on the power cord to avoid any interference of this unit with other devices. But, it seemed fine with our without the ferrite core attached. I loaded MP3’s on a flash drive and plugged it in. The machine worked perfectly. You do have to select the input as USB. Likewise, I put in a music CD, selected the CD source and the unit played beautifully. The remote provided functions to select the source and also to navigate through the songs. The remote also turns the unit on or off which is important.. You have a treble and bass control which worked fine as well the provided sound shape presets including Surround sound. A nice feature is a built-in FM radio. You simply attach the included antenna and you are able to get crystal clear radio reception, tip of the cap to the engineers at Panasonic for including this feature. I used the Bluetooth capability to pair the control unit with my TV, my phone and my laptop. There is a Bluetooth button to ensure it is simple to connect devices. I tried to connect an old iPod via the USB port but it was not recognized. I also used an adapter cable to connect a cell phone to the USB port, but again the device was not recognized. So you do need either a Bluetooth source, CD or flash drive. I believe the design should have included a 3.5mm port, but I didn’t take off a star for that missing design point that would have been very convenient. I am currently using this small system connected to my TV and the sound is much sharper and louder than the TV speakers provided. I would certainly recommend this fine compact unit.

It was very good for the price but it got delayed so many times

The Panasonic Stereo System is a nice compact system that is capable of playing CDs, connecting a device via Bluetooth, and the ability to play Radio stations. The system is quite easy to unbox and get up and running. The speakers connect to the audio system via a spring load traditional setup. The speaker sides are made of a composite wood type material with a mesh fabric in the front. The speakers sound fairly good, but they are lacking in bass. Even when I crank the bass settings all the way to the max, it’s still not as much bass as I would like. The CD system does a great job of playing CD’s. The load and eject tray is smooth with not glitches. When using the Bluetooth setting, my mobile device was able to easily connect to it, which allowed me to play music from my mobile device that would play through the sound system and speakers. The unit will also play local Radio stations. The antenna has to be connected to the back of the unit. If it’s not connected you will only hear static. The unit has a large volume button that is easy to grab. However, I feel as though it’s not as smooth while turning the knob. Perhaps it will loosen up over time. Overall, it’s a good unit for playing from multiple sources.

Wow…I really missed having a CD player! So, I got this little stereo even though I have streaming services (I do not pay for them) and a “XXXhome” that will play most music. It is a real pleasure to listen to the radio, stream through Bluetooth, and play CDs ( the way I used to). I’m in my late 50’s and all the technology is not easy for me, so this is how I can listen to my music-the CDs I have already paid for (thousands of dollars over the years) and have had for years-without interruption. And without an engineering degree. The stereo is very basic and it comes with a remote control making it perfect for the office. The small speakers are excellent sounding and non obtrusive and connected with speaker wire. A little wire antenna that I taped to an outside window ensures good reception. The only thing I would add is a way to program radio stations so I don’t have to search. Maybe there is a way and I missed it in the instructions-I’ll look again! I think this is a perfect gift for us older people.
