Excellent 4k Upscaler

A large number of video and audio control tweaks are available for those who want to get in deep. The one missing feature is a 16:9 Full Screen setting, which means it has to be done via the TV if you want to lose the black banding on non-16:9 video. Front and rear USB ports which is a nice add.

hdr10+ player that just flat out works

Easy update to the latest firmware, fast to load 4k discs, no stutters while playing. HDR10+ looks incredible on my QD-OLED! Also works flawlessly with eArc and being controlled by the Samsung TV remote I have is nice. It is a bit narrower than typical 17" equipment.

Best mid priced 4k UHD Blueray

DP-UB 420-X - Good Value

Was looking for value. This player delivers on that perspective. Very good sound - very deep and clear. Did not give four stars due to sometimes non-responsive open and close feature. Does on-screen display when playing CD’s but does not ID artist and song, just track and time. When playing CD’s, very sensitive to any dirt, smudges and scratches. For movies, very solid player.

So Good So Far

I like that you can change the voice and screen formats. There's a slight learning curve with all the adjustments but its easily learnable. Only downside is that I get an electric shock every time I touch the box when I take out a bluray disc. Make sure to just touch the bluray itself.

Great little player

Great player for the price!

Not only does it play 4k with high quality playback it also improves playback from blu-ray and regular dvds. Does have built in apps, use for either WiFi or Ethernet for the best connection.

Great picture, terrible interface, apps, and remot

The interface is dated and slow and often freezes. Has a Netflix and Amazon Prime app but no Disney+. I watch Netflix and Amazon through this because of the upscaling, but can't watch Disney because no app so have to stream that through another device. Also, the remote SUCKS.

Great 4K player but No Hulu

It produces Very clean detailed video & audio even if Not hooked up to & set up for a 4K tv ! Plays UHD BlueRay of Fate & The Furious Great & makes my cd’s sound Great, Esp thru nice Sony ES/ Infinity audio system PS4 won’t play it or even play some cd’s Panasonic Works well with Netflix & YouTube. Only 4 stars: Doesn’t support Hulu & I can’t even find it in the online store to download it.. what’s up with that?!! PS4 streams Hulu & it’s Stars & HBO Hubs that I pay Xtra for...was really hoping for Panasonic player to at Least be a good back up, otherwise a great player.
