I have the Oppo 203 uhd player and this is just as good for video but as far as music capabilities this player is the equivalent to the Oppo 205. Just amazing for both. Great build quality with an equally beautiful finish and look.

This will allow quicker setup and to four-way communication between the TV and your receiver or preamp. With 4K/8K you can see and hear everything that the director wanted in that film. Older movies can be upscaled to 4K automaticly with the X1 Ultimate Processor.

It is built to last, and I hope to keep this unit long after streaming has completely overtaken the market - the quality of this device combined with a 7.4.4 Atmos system (yes, I have 4 subwoofers that is not a typo) is something I will never give up in favor of the poor quality of streaming.

Could be better

Manufactured in March 24 per back of unit. That’s why 3 stars. Put yes for recommend since there isn’t a maybe, give it benefit of doubt.

Disappointing

The remote doesn't work at all, but oddly enough, my sony tv remote works on it. Seriously, a $1000 dvd player and the remote isn't set correctly coming out if the box. According to the website, it might be a setting, but I shouldn't have to reset it out of the box. This is now the only high end player left, and I had my reservations before I purchased it, but there wasn't much choice.
