I thought it time to upgrade from a 5 year old 4k player and spent quite some time comparing reviews. Settling on this I thought it was worth the money and for the first month or so I was happy. The sound was awesome (running Mac amps into Martin Logans) and the picture was an improvement. My Sony 4k projector is about 4 years old but still delivers. Then things started to fall apart. It started freezing on some blue-ray and 4k discs. Then the internet services went blank. Now it won't read ANY discs. It's crap. And now a month or so beyond returnable.

The only drawbacks are a lack of steaming apps like no Disney Plus and only a basic owners manual. You need to go to the internet for a complete owners manual

Best 4K Bluray Player Available Today

This is one of the most expensive players on the market and it's SOOO SLOOOOOW. The interface looks like something from the '90s. It has several high-end features but falls short on the basic things. The remote is over complicated for what you need and the menu and interface are dreadfully slow. Did I mention it's SLOW? Netflix is built-in but the so-called "App" store is empty. It's a fine player, but not worth 10X the cost of a regular bluray player.

Great picture

On a final note the unit highlighted so many shortcomings with my entertainment system especially sound quality i had to upgrade my entire set up to match the quality this blueray brings with it.

Amazing Player

All I can say is....wow. I bought the Avengers Endgame 4K DVD to try, and it's better than the theater. It's expensive for a DVD player...but I can't argue with the results....
