    even on sale this item is over priced. It is hdmi connection ONLY and is not very user friendly. looks and feels like a $30 dvd player even though Blu-ray compatible. Not worth $50 and took forever to get to me when there is a Best Buy right down the street... LITERALLY!!

    Purchased this blue ray player in December 2015. No longer function January 2016. Will not leave the set up menu. I've disconnected- Reconnected the unit. Still will not function. My intent was to purchase a reputable product not one that functions for less than 30 days. please advise as to how to get the product replaced or have my money returned. I sincerely doubt if remedied. But felt it necessary to voice my complaint

    Lots of complaints regarding this item, but in my opinion, most are unwarranted. I purchased this on Black Friday online for an excellent price. The item is small, but there's nothing wrong with that. I don't desire an enormous player laying about in my entertainment area. The player plays both DVD's as well as blu ray discs with ease, and the picture quality is spot on. The interface is easy to use in my opinion, and the remote is ... a remote. I have read negative comments regarding the remote, but I don't get it. It is labeled well, the buttons are easy to push, it isn't overly large. It's fine for what it is. Setting up the apps such as Netflix, Pandora, etc. is easy, and the wifi connection is quick and strong. I have had no problems in this regard. The only complaint I have about this device is that it does not offer Hulu as a streaming app. This is problematic for me, as I watch this perhaps more than I watch Netflix. Hopefully in the future, Panasonic will update the device and add Hulu to its offered streaming apps. Aside from that, I recommend this player. For the value, price, and quality, you can't go wrong.

    Set up was easy but couldn't figure out how to get to the apps. Then when figuring it out the screen locked couldn't do anything not even watch a did. Returned to store to buy a new one.

    Have been experiencing issues with streaming and connecting to internet. Also had a few times issues with playing disks. I will try more times and then will make better conclusions.

    So. It come with the staple web streaming apps, but none of the newer ones. In addition you can not turn off your t.v. if it is turned on. So for those of us that enjoy falling asleep with netflix on and your tv on auto timer... no dice. User interface feels like 10 years old. If iI had kept the box, I would be returning this product. I have already replaced it.

    The player could not connect to the internet so Netflix did not work. It was also not very intuitive. It was also slow. At least the one I had was not a good product.

    The product didn't last a year before it started having issues reading discs, and the menu was hard to use. Also, if it shuts off it doesn't memorize the place you were at when you turn the player back on.

      Thank you for sharing your feedback! Please ensure you put in a disc that the system can play. Change to a playable disc in case the one you were using was not playable. We also advise trying a reset by turning the unit on, pressing and holding [OK], the yellow button, and the blue button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds. POWER LED starts to flash, and “00 RET” is displayed on the screen. Press the right arrow repeatedly on the remote control until “08 FIN” is displayed on the screen. Then, press and hold [OK] for more than 5 seconds. Hope this helps! -C Panasonic

    I bought this because the online advertisement said that I could stream to it from my smart phone. But after wasting a lot of time trying to figure out from the poor instructions how to do that and then wasting a lot of time downloading lots of apps to try and do that, I discovered that it doesn't work with Apple iPhones. The customer service guy at Best Buy confirmed this after 15 minutes on the phone. The other problem was that the USB input didn't allow showing some types of videos from my digital cameras. The Sony model that I bought did allow playing these same video formats.

    The internet setting doesn't work like it should. It takes forever for it to load the Internet options and when you choose an option it will not load.

    Was disappointed when I got this. It doesn't screencast very well coz the app it uses is obsolete. So I ended up with a $40 bluray player

    We purchased this Blu-Ray for Christmas. We had issues from the first time we used it. This was the first Blu-Ray player we purchased, so we chalked up the issues to our learning curve. When you push the button to select what you want to do, it skips to the next one. It takes forever to read a movie is in it, then quit working altogether. We were only able to use it for less than a year (maybe 1-2 times a month). Poor quality machine!

    This has to be the worst player I've ever had. I got a replacement for the first one in 2 weeks, as it would shut off, stop playing and said an error about the sound not working, and not stay connected to my Wi-Fi when everything else would and the player showed it was connected. The replacement did the same thing shortly after my 30 days were up and I could exchange it so it has been a paperweight. Do not waste your money on this product

    Got this BluRay after reading several reviews. First off...it does not come with an HDMI cable. I set it up. It will frequently lock up and not turn off. I have to unplug it to turn it off. It then won't turn back on. If I watch Netflix for to long it locks up. You also can not download any more apps. You only get what comes on the BluRay. Plan on returning it.

    Player is not the simplest to use with the menu interface and home menu is not customizable. You get what they advertise like NetFlix and Pandora but no option to get Hulu on there.

    This Smart BD player has limited connectivity to WIFI, in fact could not get it to connect from bedroom about 60 feet from router. It also has limited programs. I returned it.
