    Good blu ray for price; lousy for streaming

    We selected this blu ray for its price and its small profile. The blu ray player works well. Great picture. Great sound. If you are buying this device for the blu ray and the price (particularly when on sale), perfectly good choice. If, however, you are buying for the streaming capabilities, there are much better options. This player only comes with about 8 apps (yes, they are the most popular ones). No app store, etc. Just those 8. I still thought we would try to use it and move our Roku to a different room. However, the streaming speed of the player is ill equipped to handle the task. Timed out repeatedly on Vudu, Netflix and Pandora. You can literally watch the images load on the selection screens as you are browsing the apps, because they load so slowly. And forget trying to stream anything. Just not a good streaming device. Keep in mind I have a Roku in the same room connected to the same TV, and everything works exactly as it should. Needless to say, keeping the Roku where it is.

    Just stopped working for no reason. Was still within the one year warranty but did not have box or know where to send it! I think Best Buy should take care of this for me.

    Lots of bugs, fits and hiccups

    Nothing but problems. Randomly locks up. Randomly shuts off. Randomly won't let me power down. Netflix works 40% of the time. Takes a very long time to play a DVD or Blu-Ray. Going to purchase Samsung next time.

We also advise trying a reset by turning the unit on, pressing and holding [OK], the yellow button, and the blue button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds. POWER LED starts to flash, and “00 RET” is displayed on the screen. Press the right arrow repeatedly on the remote control until “08 FIN” is displayed on the screen. Then, press and hold [OK] for more than 5 seconds.Hope this helps! -C Panasonic

    I had written a very positive review when I had it for a few days, but it's been a few weeks now, and there are all kinds of issues with streaming Netflix and other apps. Save your money and buy something better.

      Thank you for sharing your feedback on the streaming speed of the player. It might be improved by checking your player's DNS servers in the Player's Networking menu. The DNS numbers should match your Internet Service Providers and should not be the same number as your Default Gateway. -AM Panasonic

    My modem needs to be right next to my bluray player to pick up the wifi connection at all, Very slow on response as well.

    It seemed like a good deal, but it would not turn on or do anything. I was allowed to take back to the store and exchange it for another product without a hassle, but not as good of a deal.

    I brought this for my daughters room who is only 4. After a month the player would freeze and get stuck with the disc inside and not play.

    WiFi and setup really simple, Netflix and other streaming apps work well. Really like the number of file formats that can be played through the USB. Only negatives include the limited number of apps available compared to some players (though they weren't on sale for $40) and the remote control design is poor. It's too small to have that many buttons on it, I end up hitting the wrong button more than the right one and often start Netflix by mistake because the button is huge and right by the directional buttons.

    The first one the Wi-Fi would not work. Returned that one and exchanged it for a second one. The remote on that one did not work.

    Picture looks blue on DVDs after using NETFLIX

    Color of screen turned really blue after pushing the NETFLIX button. I had to unplug it to get it back to normal.
