    I got this on sale and it's a great price for a Blu-Ray player with streaming functionality. Nothing fancy, but it plays movies just fine.

    Not the best

    Serious lag. My wifi is fast. Never had any lag with my Sonys Blue-ray. Seems to have some minor issues when playing Netflix. Put in a Blue-ray movie and things change. Great clean visual experience.

    Avoid--Flawed firmware

    I bought this blu ray player because I wanted to get Netflix in a room that didn't have a smart tv. I hooked it up and I set it up with my internet. It successfully hooked up with my internet. It got an ip address and I had 5 bars. The connection tested positive. When I went to access the internet, it said my firmware version was 1.35 and I needed to upgrade to 1.45. I spent an hour on my own and then an hour with a Panasonic tech trying to get it upgrade. After all of this, the tech said the problem with 1.35 was it won't allow you to connect to the internet and the only way to upgrade to 1.45 was via the internet, which I couldn't get. It was a "catch-22" where 1.35 won't allow internet connections and the only fix was a download via the internet. Avoid at all cost. Spend the extra $$$ and get something that works.

    A bit disappointed....

    I bought this as a Black Friday special. I was very excited to get home and set this up as this is my first Blu-ray player, but quickly became very disappointed with the set up. I needed to update the firmware before I could connect to the network services such as NetFlix. After my fourth attempt, the update finally went through. Multiple times now NetFlix has frozen or just not work. I have had to unplug the unit in order to unfreeze it. I will be returning this and looking into another blu ray player.

    For the first week all was well....then the problems started. I have to constantly reset this blu ray player because it freezes. It loads insanely slow, sometimes requiring 2 or 3 minutes to start a netflix show (my roku box has zero issues) wich completetly negates the point of streaming. Ive never had to reset a device as much as this thing. Im hoping i can return it though i think im just outside the window even for an elite member. Get a sony or samsung and save the headache.

    Very disappointed in this product. Purchased a few weeks ago and just tried it today. I started watching Netflix, it kept cutting out. Tried to download 1.56 firmware and it would get to 14% after about 30 minutes and then stop. It kept saying it was unable to update the firmware. Very frustrated.

    My husband and I will absolutely never purchase a Panasonic product again. We purchased two of these and have had nothing but trouble. They freeze, the internet connection is spotty at best, and it is not the fault of our router, and you can basically forget about being able to use Netflix. We even sent one of them to the service center, had to pay for shipping, and they have the audacity to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. They sent it back to us, wet got it or if the box and are having all of the issues we had prior to sending it in. These are an absolute waste of money.

    Don't buy

    I purchased 2 of these. I opened 1 and it seemed buggy at the home screen. I would push a button and it would delay and then all of a sudden go nuts. When I finally got the movie to play (brand new movie) I noticed several times, it would cut out the sound. Picture was still going just no sound. I am going to try to return it but best buy most likely will only allow me to exchange, which I don't want. I will definitely be returning the second one and upgrading to a better brand. I had high hopes with all the positive reviews. Oh well.

    Stopped working after less than 20 uses

    Bought this blu-ray player when it was on sale on black friday (less than 3 monhs ago). It has been used less than 20 times and now will not read discs anymore. Tried to return it yesterday to Best Buy and they will not take it back because I did not buy Geek Squad warranty. 1 it is absurd that a Blu Ray player would stop working after that short of a period of time, and 2 that a store would have such a terrible return policy and require you to spend $25 on a warranty for a $50 item. I am sure mine was just a faulty unit, so offer an even exchange.

      Thank you for leaving feedback on the player. Try resetting the player by press and holding the [OK], [YELLOW] and [BLUE] colored buttons simultaneously until the Power light begins to flash and OO RET is displayed on the screen. Then press the [RIGHT] arrow until "08 FIN" is shown then press and hold the [OK] button for 7 seconds. -AM Panasonic

    Piece of junk DO NOT BUY

    Has not worked well since I bought it and has only gotten worse. But Best Buy did not take back because I was a few days after my 15 day time period (which is way to short) and so I have to mail (AT MY OWN COST) the player to Panasonic and they will send me a refurbished replacement. This is unacceptable and I will not longer buy anything from Panasonic and I recommend you don't either.

    I just bought this Blue Ray at Christmas and this is my second time using it... In the past 3 hours it has frozen twice. I bought this to watch movies and Netflix and I can barely get through a show. So far it's a piece of junk. Better get a new one without paying more...

    Horrible in every way, except size

    Horrible set up menu, horrible wifi connection, horrible disk playback, horrible netflix, youtube picture quality. Just a horrible peace of junk. My friend has the same exact issues as me. We bought at the same time (on sale).

    There is no indication either on the box or in the store that there are inadequate output ports on this device. It cannot be connected to both the television and a surround sound system.

    Constantly freezes and needs to be unplugged to restart it. When streaming Netflix, it takes forever to load, then usually ends up freezing. Really disappointed in this product.
