I remember watching this film in high school for my English class and now three years later I stumbled upon it and remembered being ensnared instantly by its twisting story. That held true yet again as I rewatched it today. This movie is a MUST for your DVD collection!!

The most original film I have seen in many years, possibly the decade. There is nothing so poetic, gorgeous, and moving. The image is flawless, the sound is flawless. If you want a Blu Ray that will shake your house and lift your 1080p TV to the heavens, this is it.

This was one of the best movies I've seen recently. The cinematography was gorgeous, and the subtitles were perfectly timed so you could read them and appreciate the visuals as well. It can be brutal and gory, but is also beautiful, I recommend it highly!

This is one of the most amazing films i have ever seen. I am not a fan of this genre but when I first saw this movie i was blown away. If you like fantasies then this movie is for you. I would recommend this movie to anyone who doesn't mind subtitles.

I loved this movie! It was really interesting and some parts were suspenseful. The ending blew me away. When you watch this movie, you start to feel for the main character and hate a certain other character. It was really enjoyable.

I HATE SUBTITLES! Although i have to say this movie i didn't really realize that the movie was almost over and i read the whole way through. It captivated me and kept my interest. Very strange though maybe too strange for some.

This movie is a very intense drama of a little girl's love for her mother and the challenges she is asked to perform by a mythical spirit who convinces her that she is the princess of the underground world.

ok this movie is one of the best i've seen of the year, it as filled with magic, some comedy but more tragedy! i would recommend buying this movie because its filled with wonder & dreams that this little girl see's!

It's about a young girl who is a princess who escapes from her kingdom, never to return.Until she meets a faun who tells her how to get back.She must do three task for her to return to her kingdom with her family.It's about the choices we make in life a what is best for everyone.If you haven't seen it see it.

Buyer be ware! This movie is NOT on the same bar as Lord of the Rings. Nor is it worth the 3 awards it was given. This movie is more on the same bar as "The Secret Garden" with excerpts from "Harry Potter". Although the story wasn't a bad one, it still does not have the depth of the great master works of Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, or any of the other great masters of the fantasy realm. Instead it is more of a war story with a touch of a little girls' fantasy of how she's going to escape this horrible world that she has been forced to live in. Sound familiar? Just another take on an old story. Very disappointed that this movie did not live up to the hype. Unnecessary gore, the side story was way more developed than the main premise, and of course, if I were to watch something so poor, I sure wouldn't want to watch it in Spanish!

A superbly twisted grown-up fairytale. Not only is this movie graphically pleasing to watch, but it's twisted enough to really enjoy the storyline. NOT FOR CHILDREN BY ANY MEANS!!!

this movie was great!! we had seen it before, which is why we bought it, but tot watch it in blue ray was even better. if you don't have a blue ray player - GET ONE!!

one of the best movies i have seen. The subtitels didn't bother me that much, just don't understand why they didn't translate a great movie like that. MUST SEE

Excellent graphics and audio. Storyline is overall good. When I purchased this movie I did not know it was not in english subtiltled in english. Watched the movie last night and the whole family enjoyed the show-

I loved the movie of it I am a history buff it had a good meaning to the story, such as sacifice your life for someone else.

Its a really great blu ray dvd to own. It has very nice colors and backgrounds too. i highly recommended. A must own!

An unexpected masterpiece. A dark fairytale for adults. One of the best foreign films to date! Dont's miss this one!

for the price....yes. the movie was much better than i thought. don't be put off by the title or the cover. even if you don't care much for fantasy it's a decent movie.

This movie is wonderful. I almost didn't buy it because of the subtitles but I am so glad I did.
