However, it is now pretty scratched up (after using it almost for three weeks )

Good feel, but unusable due to bubbles

I’ve purchased and installed other brand paper like screen protectors on multiple different iPads including a mini 5, mini 7, air 11, air 13, and pro 11. I have never had to throw out a screen protector within days because there were so many bubbles and no matter how much i worked them they would not go down. I suspect this is at least in part due to how thin the film is. All the other screen protectors I’ve used were thicker and did not try to fold over on themselves during install. I will say as a plus for the paperlike brand is that this protector feels smoother to the touch yet grips the apple pencil tip a bit more than other ones I’ve used. If you can get this installed without bubbles it would be a fantastic protector. That said, good luck doing so.
