This 2nd Gen version has nanodot technology which improves screen viewing compared to the 1st Gen version. Picture is much clearer and brighter overall. Also, the adhesive seems to have improved; I had minimal issues installing. There were air bubbles the first few minutes but I was able to push the major ones out using a credit card. I was able to push the few small bubbles that remained onto the screen and they disappeared.

Love it - Totally changes writing on the iPad!

It was difficult install with a lot of bubbles. So far, after 3 weeks, I have not been able to use the iPad because it is dysfunctional and I am awaiting instructions from Apple on what to do with it. Best Buy Geek Squad was not able to get the iPad functional. I habe yet to use theipen to write so i don't know about that feature.
