Visionary excellence.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ariel Kleiman had only directed a handful of short films before entering the world of international cinema last year with PARTISAN; a strange tale of a secret city in a foreign future perhaps not so far off. Make no mistake: this is NOT a science fiction film. It's almost a dystopian tale, but it centers around the utopian enclave created by the hardened but gentle Gregori (Vincent Cassel) for the raising of children outside the conventional failures of standard society. But it's not all talky politico-babble either, so don't run and hide. A captivating and personal story about coming of age, learning the assassin's trade & discovering, as a child, the hypocrisies of adulthood required to reign & protect. Just watch it.

It's a fantastic movie.
