It gets off to a bit of a slow start but is worth the wait.

Great SI FI movie. The FX were great, I liked the Bartender.

The premise sounded interesting, the imagery looked nice, so I RENTED the movie. We liked it so much that I BOUGHT the movie so we could watch it with each of our kids as schedules permit. If you read reviews about it being boring, just know it's not an adventure movie with lots of shooting and explosions. It is an excellent drama which happens to take place on an interstellar space craft. The heart of the movie is when the main character struggles with an ethical dilemma and its repercussions. If you were in his shoes, what would YOU do? Other successful movies that focus on a cast of 1 or 2 people include: Gravity (Sandra Bullock, 2013) and Cast Away (Tom Hanks, 2000), both of which earned commercial and critical successes. Lastly, if you like this movie, you might want to consider a lesser-known movie, "Moon" (Sam Rockwell, 2009).
