I had seen this movie but my wife hadn't. We enjoyed watching it together and the extra money for the Ultra HD was worth it. Not all films benefit from the extra detail and vibrant colors but this one really did. It was beautiful enough to watch again and again. Great chemistry between Jenifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt. Will have to watch again in 3D (which is included). Interesting special features too. Shot in Georgia at the new Pinewood Georgia Studio. Incredible sets.

As my summary says, this is a demo quality disc, at least for the 4K version. (I haven't viewed the 3D version yet, but it should be stunning on my LG OLED65G6.) I'm also pleased that both the 4k and 3D versions are in the same package, which should happen for all titles that are available in both formats. As for the artistic side, I liked it a lot better than the critics say I should have. For me, this is one of the rare films that rate multiple viewings.

During a journey in space 2 sleeping members wake up 90 years early. They are Jim and Aurora who fall in love. They see the ship is in danger and have to repair the ship, or the other 5,000 sleeping people on board will die. There is suspense and a love story. This is a wonderful movie I wish all would see.

SPOILER ALERT: Although it's not clear why Arthur spilled the beans(!), I loved the film as well as the ironic ending that made the entire confilct worthwhile. I thought Jennifer was a bit overproduced in this one, but I really enjoy anything with Pratt. Fishburn also was excellent in his relatively short role. I took one star off because it never was clear why only those two guys were thawed by Avalon's computer.

I was not quite sure if this would be a great film, or if the film critics were right and it would be a bad film. I am pleased to say that this is a great sci-fi film. The story is very engaging. The performances of the lead actors were terrific. Visually the movie is beautiful. The sound is superb. The only criticism that I have is that the supplements are a tad on the weak side. Overall though, this is a great film and a beautiful steelbook.

I understand some people's grievances with the sub par acting in this film, but I found the latent and subtle cues from the film touching at a much deeper thread than what is displayed at surface level. Much of the film was visually stunning (No I am not referring to Lawrence or Pratt) and it drove up a vast wealth of emotions regarding humanity and its resolve. All in all, I enjoyed the film and will continue to recommend it to others.

Went to Best Buy about 400 million times and saw this at a decent price every single time and never thought twice about it. One day, while shopping for the new 4K James Bond films, I said "7.99? Heck Yeah!" Later that night i didn't think i would actually like the movie too much until no longer than 5 minutes in, i was hooked. Absolutely phenomenal film and one of the best of 2016.

Ok I love movies. Action movies, Syfy (comes on Sci-do what were you thinking...) romance, all of them. This movie combines so many genres in a tasteful balanced way. The visuals are INCREDIBLE!!! Shot in 6.5k and down sampled to 4K, this movie rocks on my 4K HDR setup! Great acting, great action, great overarching theme. Great visuals, and got it on sale for $14.99 in 4K, I’m tickled pink with this purchase!! Once agin, please buy this movie!

The movie, Passengers is a little slow at times. I would still definitely recommend the purchase of this movie.

Passengers is solely dependent on the charisma of its stars Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Platt, not a bad thing at all. The story line is a bit thin but not uninteresting. The 4K-HDR image and Dolby Atmos sound track are close to reference quality and will really show your 4K TV and home theater system off. As a bonus, the package also includes the 3D version of the movie so for the asking price, this combo pack is an excellent deal.

This review is about Best Buy as indicated in my summary. I chose not to open the "Passengers" package after reading some of the online reviews AFTER I purchased the movie because though I like SiFi this movie was not my cup of tea. The trouble was that I had held on to it way past the return(2 months) so getting a refund was likely not going to happen. However there was absolutely no questions whatsoever. THIS IS WHY I SHOP AT BEST BUY.

This movie is awesome! The 3d is out of this world! This movie made you feel like you were actually in outer space. I also watched the 4k disk. The picture and sound are unbelievable! This is a love story with a great twist! It also is a great science fiction space movie! All of the characters in this movie played their parts very well! Two of the best scenes are the space walk (awesome) and the swimming pool's loss of gravity! AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!

"Passengers" is a better movie than the reviews it received. The exterior and the interior of the space ship are beautiful. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt give very good performances. However, there were a lot of ideas that were not explored more in depth. One idea would be introduced and then the movie would move to the new idea and forget the previous one. There are some special features but sadly no audio commentary.

At first I was "iffy" about watching this because of the "adult" scenes I had heard about in the movie - which, for an adult are PG-13, were not as explicit as I had been led to believe - BUT . . . this is not for children or young teens if you're wanting wholesome viewing. That aside, I was struck by the story telling and good acting - So I bought this with knowing that when I watch this again it will not be with kids around.

Great story. Fantastic special effects. I gave it only 4 stars because, call me cynical, but **(Spoiler alert do not read further or it may spoil the ending for you) being a divorced man. I think Jennifer L's character would have killed Chris P's character when she had the chance and then gone a awoke a much richer, handsome-er, younger partner and gone off and lived happily ever after. But maybe I am just to cynical.

Like the title says, I thought the trailers gave a pretty good explanation of the plot, and how things go, but after seeing the movie, I was impressed that there were a few twist and turns, it wasn't laid out the same way and I enjoyed it from start to finish. Pratt gives an excellent performance and his chemistry with Jlaw is undeniable. Wish the steelbook was something other than the bluray sleeve, but it is nice to add it the collection.

I like space movies, but not just any kind. This combines a beautiful great actress and the other leading actor fits the part well. They act really well together. The story is intriguing and the sci fi in the story is relatively realistic. While special effects are great! The movie doesn't dwell on them or OD on them. This movie has very little objectionable material in it. There are two 15 sec partial nudity scenes in it.

Sweet Movie.. Pins and needles all the way till the ending. Won’t be disappointed. Have your popcorn in hand.

When this movie was released in theaters, I wanted to see it but never made it. I found this set with oh 4K and 3D blu-ray for cheaper than the average standard Blu-ray, which was quite surprising seeing that it hasn't been available in stores for that long yet. Overall it had a unique story line to a plot that has been tackled many times. It was refreshingly original and entertaining, and will keep you captivated throughout!

I was eager to see this, but afraid it would evolve into a mushy love story and lose the sci-fi along the way. Happily, despite the romance, which was present throughout, it was never annoying or overdone. Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence have nice chemistry together and his performance was great overall. An interesting little film and a worthy addition to my collection. Also, this looks gorgeous on bluray!
