I enjoyed this movie. I bought this movie for $6.99. Great value for a quality movie.

Passengers is wonderfully done. The space craft and scenes of outer space are beautiful.

This movie seemed to be in development for quite a while. It seemed being able to land box office stars Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt was what finally gave the picture the green light to being made. Sadly, the two stars seemed to lack the requisite chemistry the film required to make it work. A forgettable film in every way.

The reviews I read about "Passengers" afterward surprised me, but seemed understandable. I think some reviewers thought Pratt's performance was insensitive in relation to reviving his fellow passenger and was generally too simple and straightforward a character. There wasn't the dark complication of a movie like "The Girl on the Train." but those were different types of characters. Perhaps the real Pratt is more like the character than some reviewers would desire. He played another simple but decent character in the "Everwood" series on tv. That being said, the Art Deco aspects of the set were simply wonderful and Pratt sustained maybe half the movie (the first half) by himself and the robotic bartender. This was neither "Veronica Mars" nor a film noir and our hero was an every-day sort of hero, simple and succinct. It was not a great movie, expanding one's artistic, philosophical, or aesthetic horizons, but a good movie, and one worth seeing again.
