A masterful loving restoration has been given to this version of "Patton" after the fallout of the very first blu-ray release being lambasted for it's liberal use of DNR filtering that destroyed all detail Fox comes back with a near perfect 2nd Generation blu-ray that offers near perfect visuals with dazzling colors accompanied by super high definition. Audio on the other hand has a distinct hiss that can be heard during dialog scenes that blemishes an otherwise excellent sounding audio track. I highly recommend this 2-disc version of "Patton" and at this price you cannot go wrong!

Patton himself would've been envious of George C. Scott's depiction of him. Beautiful cinematography and superb performances by the supporting cast. Beautifully restored as well. The steelbook version is THE version to have. Research the various releases of PATTON on bluray. There is much online discussion about which version is the most desirable from an aesthetic standpoint.

C'mon folks. The movie is a classic for WWII. George C. Scott was honored with the Oscar for his outstanding portrayal. I always gauge the quality of an actor's role by visualizing who could have done it better. Russell Crowe - Maximus. Jimmy Stewart - George Bailey. The Godfather- Marlon Brando . GCS as Patton is another one of those roles that just can't be topped.Cinematography is fantastic - You Are There.

Co-written by Francis Ford Coppola, this 1969 biography of the man many consider to be the best American general ever is a fascinating and often thoughtful portrayal. Patton frequently got in trouble for shooting his mouth off, but there was no denying his effectiveness in World War II, apparently taking more ground faster than any other general in history. Don't think that means you have to be a bloody-minded hawk to enjoy this film, though. George C. Scott makes Patton such an incredibly interesting man, flaws and all, that he's sometimes simultaneously appalling in his love of war itself and yet sympathetic as a tragic figure who can't imagine life during peacetime. Very highly recommended!

I love this movie and have watched it many times on my DVD version. I saw the opportunity to purchase the Blu-Ray version. Love it even more because of the enhanced sound and video.

Next to the Godfather I and II, this is the greatest American movie ever made. The score makes this a must have on BluRay

aka, George S. Patton was/is an American hero who left his permanent mark on this world. Although it is not 100% historically accurate, this is still a great film and deserves to be seen by all. 4.5/5

This particular Blue Ray DVD disk would not open like most disks. Apparently there was a defect in making the DVD. After 5 tries, it opened. The color and sound were terrific. The Blue Ray make the movie very real.

Great movie and movie subject....but it's very long. Be sure to start it early enough in the evenging if you want to watch the whole thing.

This is absolutely one of the best military movies that I have seen and its’ got some zing to it! Great Acting and story-telling at its' bes.t

Its an older movie, but its one of them oldies but goodies. They don't make great movies like this anymore.

Note that the DVD does not have the movie. The movie is only in the blue ray.

Patton is a must have for any home library... You won't be disapointed...
