Good family movie. Nothing really raunchy in it, and personally I think it has laugh out loud moments scattered througout from beginning to end. The plot is not bad either, but the nice part is that you dont really have to pay close attention to it. Of course, wait until it goes on sale. I would certainly not spend 29.99 on it - then again, I would say that about any movie...

Kevin James fans and fans of King of Queens will like this film. This is not The English Patient. It's not even a movie that takes itself seriously so I don't understand why so many reviewers are. It's a campy family movie about an overweight Mall Security Guard, er, Officer, dealing with some ridiculous setbacks and adversity after the triumph he experienced at the end of the original Mall-Cop. His life takes a change for the better when he is invited to attend the Security Officer's Convention in Las Vegas... that is until he encounters doubters, ridiculers, fear of his daughter leaving for college, and last but not least, kidnapping art theives. He still gets his triumphant day in the sun starting when he has to fill in to give a motivational speech to the convention delegates (my favorite part of the movie). This is where the movie begins to find its bearings and ignites a continuous series of funny moments until Paul Blart is once again victorious and proves that he is the best in the security biz.

I loved this movie. I rented it and laughed my head off the entire time. If you are into Three Stooges slapstick type of humor this movie is for you. It has a pretty predictable story line but I don't watch comedy's like this for story. I am definitely buying this ASAP.

If you're looking for a lot of laughs, this movie is a good movie to watch then. I saw this movie and realized that this is the type of movie where you are just looking for laughs and don't care much about the story. Basically, Kevin James is a corny mall cop who gets in over his head doing his job. I thought Kevin James was funnier in Chuck and Larry, but I did enjoy this movie.

For the reviewers that give this movie a thumbs down, I am assuming that they cannot appreciate "clean" comedies anymore. With all of the junk out there, I think this is a refreshing change of pace, and I enjoyed the fact that I could watch a comedy with my kids. I thought Kevin James came across perfectly in this role, and there were also some moral lessons to be learned from the film. It may not appeal to 20 or 30 year olds on a "date night," but I think it is perfect for family movie night or to pop in the DVD player for the kids on road trips. I give it 5, no make that 6, Stars!

Overall he movie was great. It really made my night. I watched this movie when it came up with my girlfriend and we love it, even tho she was telling me the whole time remember this at the mall when you did this... Oh baby look it's your fav store.. lol we shop from the same mall.

Mall Cop is good for the most part. Looking at the reviews that have already been given, this is either a hit or a miss. For me its definitely a hit. Its absolutely funny and he leaves you wanting more. I'm into the slap stick kind of humor. Its not the best movie but it is funny.

Hey no one said that this was going to win oscars but it's a nice change from all the violence and cursing that we are use to in todays society! The plot isnt great but it is a cute story with some ok laughs throughout the film

3 of 5 stars for the shopping mall police story Paul Blart Mall Cop. Another way to look at this comedy movie is a 1.5 hour commercial for Segway scooter. OK, Kevin James plays Paul Blart Mall Cop. Of course, Paul has a crush on a girl working in the mall. Blart is shown to be training a new hire who later is part of a group who invade the Mall taking hostages and robbing the bank. With the parking lot full of SWAT teams, it is Blart to the rescue of the girl and saving the mall. This is a cutely dumb movie. A bit funny. Easy on the brain and worth the time to watch it.

What a funny movie! I laughed my behind off when I saw this one and finally just decided to add it to my big DVD collection. I am ready to see the sequel that comes out in Mid- April and I am sure it will be a blast too. Lots of Laughs (LOL)...
