    Awesome Computer!

Having the Operating System on an SSD makes this computer super fast! I needed a computer for basic home use and for that, an i-3 processor is just fine. In modern computers, the hard drive is usually the slowest component, so having an SSD makes a huge difference in the overall performance. It has the regular 1 TB hard drive for all your data, so as long as you know how to manage the 2 drives, this is an awesome computer.

I needed a new PC for my in - laws. This fit the bill perfectly. Fast, small and easy to setup. Their games and web pages load blazingly fast. I normally build my own machines, but at this price I could not pass this up.

    OK for home use

This Pavilion is fast, a lot faster than any PC I've previously owned. The hard drive being solid state is quiet. I have two reasons for only giving this PC 4 stars. First, even though it has 1TB hard drive, it did not have enough room for all my files and photos. Neither was I able to find how to reallocate space on the drive. Secondly, the DVD drive is flimsy and cheap. The sliding rails are plastic and requires you to hold the back of the tray while snapping a disc onto the drive. I know the price for the Pavilion is low, I do not trust plastic rails and bought an external drive.

    A Bargain

I didn't expect this computer to be nearly as responsive as it is. It's very quick considering the specs. SSD must be the reason because it starts quickly and Internet browsing is fast. VERY pleased and I'm planning on buying another.

    Fast home office computer

This is my home office work computer and it is such a good deal for the price. Typing long reports is so much easier on a desktop and this thing is blazing fast compared to my laptop as well. Can run multiple programs at the same time and paired his with a widescreen lg monitor, great setup for about $700.

I have only had this for 2 days but my repair person downloaded all my items from another computer and no problems. I'm so happy with the speed of starting and turning off as my last computer took forever. I'm looking forward to using this computer for a long time.

    HP Desktop

Bought this computer last week and am now using it. I only have two complaints One, I knew before I bought it, but it seemed like all the computers being sold are doing this - the read/write drive is now in a vertical setting, as opposed to the old way of being horizontal. Don't like that, plus the drive's tray seems to be quite frail. Now that concerns me a bit since I do a lot of photography and plan to eventuyally be burning photos to cd / dvd. SECOND COMPLAINT - the computer is noisy! So much so that it may keep me from using it a lot.

    Think twice before buying

I purchased the computer and same afternoon after set up, I tried to do a simple data transfer of pictures and documents from old computer via portable hard drive. For some reason it was trying to store all my files on the 128gb solid state drive and not the 1tb main drive and would not give me an option to do other wise. After 3 different hp support line calls to 3 different departments, they told me they could fix for a nominal charge (even the 1st department did a remote access). Keep in mind that this was all on same day of purchase and I was not surfing the web, just doing file transfers. None of the support staff could / would even tell me what the problem was

    Buyer Beware

Well I thought I was buying a NEW computer but when I received it and went to set it up there was a Windows(OLD) directory. I passed it off at first but when I started adding programs I notice some programs were there from a previous build. This is completely unacceptable.

Bought this computer to upgrade to something faster. This PC does not detect 5G internet only the 2.4. I spent hours with my Internet provider only to find it’s an issue with this computer. I spent over an hour with HP support only to be told I have to pay for ‘tier 2 support’. Also was told to take the cover off and look at the model of the wireless card etc. This is a brand new computer. I should t have to take it apart or pay to get the 5G connectivity.

Ethernet stopped functioning after six months. Support was helpful but had to wipe disk and reinstall everything. Worked fine for a month, now same issue. Wireless likewise spotty. WIll end up buying new (non-HP) system.

Don't do it. Drivers for Microsoft office not on computer. You must add another 100-200 dollars for drivers. They also must take control of your computer to add drivers. Also, you can't arrange anything the way you want, only what windows 10 tells you. Worst mistake I ever made. On the other hand I probably used to spend to much time on my computer before. This computer took 2 days to break me of that

    All black and can’t use

I recently bought this to use at home, but when I set everything up, the screen was black and I can’t turn it on. Everything was set up correctly and the monitor shows only a blank screen and sometimes a mouse appears. I tried resetting and calling hp, but it didn’t work. I tried going to repair stores to fix it, but it cost around $100 to fix it so I would not recommend this computer.
