I avoided this piece of equipment for a while now - I assumed that it wouldn't hold my equipment the way I wanted, or that it wasn't safe - I was wrong. It'll hold close to 100lbs and even though my equipment isn't anywhere near that, it's good to know that it won't fail. Really simple to use, easy to attach to my hiking bag, and easy to remove! I have loved this product!

    A Great System

The Capture system is fantastic. The Clip allows the carrying of lenses and cameras to be rather easy. I have a Clip on my bag and another on my sling. This allows me to keep more items in the bag and keep the camera ready for use. If you plan to use a longer lens, I reccomend picking up an extra Capture plate so that youll be able to mount the body (with a short lens) or the longer lens depending on your set up. Also be sure to get the Pro Pad so that youll have a more comfortable carrying experience with those longer lenses. You can easily go from Capture Clip to the Travel Tripod without having to set down your gear. I also use the Capture system with a Peak Design Leash camera strap. The whole system just works!

I hate having a strap on my camera, so I either have to carry it in my hand at all times or put it away in my bag. That has all changed since purchasing the Peak Design Capture Camera Clip. It is so convenient and comfortable to clip my camera into my backpack strap to carry it on hikes. The design is simple but very effective. I wish it didn't cost as much, but it is worth it in the end.

This item it a bit expensive for what it is. But the quality and how it works is worth it imo..its nice to have a quick way to put my camera away without having to put it in the backpack..like while at Disneyland or on a hike. Make sure your backpack is sturdy (strap) to mount this to.

I don't think this clip need another positive rant about it but i cant tell you enough how much i love this clip. It makes safely carrying your camera will still having your hands free amazing. If your hiking or do a lot of out door things with you camera this is perfect for you to climb around and still have your hands free without your camera swinging around.

This works really well for hiking. It was an excellent purchase. One of the problems with hiking with a large DSLR camera is that it swing around. So if you're scrambling over boulders or logs, there's a chance for your camera to swing around and possibly damage the lense. This holds it stable against your chest. I've tried multiple systems, and so far this is the best. Clipping in is sometimes wonky. It doesn't always slide in smoothly, but with some fiddling, you can get it to work. I also wish the base was compatible with Manfroto system, although I do have the PeakDesign Tripod. It's a pain to have two different mounting systems for tripods.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The quality and craftsmanship are top-notch and everything clicks together with no issues. It's a bit on the pricey side though.

What’s they’re to say really. I own a few PD products including their tripod! Having one clip that works seamlessly and is fast to switch between different products is amazing. I actually purchased four of these! 2 for me for different packs and 1 for my wife and father in law! If you enjoy hiking this is a must have for a photographer!

I love the Peak Design Camera Clip! This the third one I have purchased as I use one on my belt to carry my camera, one on my backpack, and one on my sling bag. I like how the base plate is arca-Swiss compatible so that I can take the camera off the clip and put it directly on a tripod without having to change plates.

My hiking experience with a DSLR has been transformed by the capture clip. I used to hike with a lowpro top loader on my chest until I have this clip a try. It was much more convenient to have the camera right at my backpack strap. I did hike on a beautiful day though. On rainy days, my camera will have to be stowed away in my pack. Regardless, I love the purchase.
