Just came back from a 2 week vacation. This clip was fantastic. I wanted to travel light and I attached it to the strap of my sling. It was very secure and easy to snap in and out. The lock feature came in handy when in locations like the subway that I wanted extra security. This was way easier to access my camera than keeping it in a bag. I highly recommend it.

Although a little on the pricy side, I've found the Capture Clip to be an invaluable camera accessory. I've always had problems with camera straps as they just always seem to get in the way, but the Capture Clip has done a phenomenal job of being there when needed and staying out of the way when not. The only complaints I have are that it can be uncomfortable when using with bigger camera setups and that finding a spot to position it can be difficult on some bags (oddly including Peak Designs own everyday backpack).

I am a big fan. I love Peak Design products in general as they epitomize designing for function and style. I have only used it to clip to a backpack strap with a lightweight camera. I would be nervous if I had a heavy camera and big lens if active as it would bounce around and get uncomfortable. I was comfortable with this on a 5 mile hike with 1500’ of elevation gain. It was easy to one hand attach and detach.

Tried using it with my very compact and light weight Sony Alpha 6000 mirrorless camera with the small 16-55mm kit lens. I found it very handy to be able to carry the camera in my waist belt. However, most of the time it is not very useful to me. When I want to use tripod, the plate comes with it is too small to fit in my Arca type tripod. Changing the easy release plate is too much trouble in the field since I will need the provided wrench to uninstall / install the plate come with it. If I can install/uninstall the plate from the camera without using the wrench, just like most easy release tripod plate, this product will be a lot more useful for me. Of course I can buy the Peak Design easy release plate for it, but it will cost another $25 + tax on top of this already overpriced product.

I had the v2 Capture Clip and absolutely hated it. It was clunky and the mount used was Peak proprietary. Recently I tried the v3 and it was a completely different experience. They slimmed down the clip considerably to the point you don't even notice it. And the mount is a standard ARCA type which means you can go from wearing your camera to putting it on a tripod in no time with no need to remove the Peak mount to install a different mount for the tripod. I only use it on my backpack and with a lens no longer than, say, 5", it feels great. After 5" it's a bit wobbly and awkward, not for me. I can't wear the clip on my belt at all. It just feels like it's going to pull my pants down plus I'd be afraid it would bang up my camera easier. The price is a bit nuts but that's par for the course with Peak. The thing is they make unique products that solve problems better or differently than every other camera accessory maker. So I guess they can demand the price because while $70 is a lot of money for a clip it's less than missing a shot because you couldn't grab your camera in time.

Versatile, light weight, and rugged. I'm hanging a few pounds of equipment off of this and have total trust in its ability to hold. Easy to transfer, solid to use. Comes with a bit of a steep price, but more affordable than bouncing your camera around.

I have this Capture clip attached to a Peak Design 5L Sling and my Nikon D750. The clip attached very easily to the bag and to my camera. When holding the camera, it is very secure, and I have not had any issues with the camera coming lose or moving around. I love the convenience of the Capture system and feel it is a worthy investment for photographers who are on the go but want to always have their camera close at hand and ready to go.

This camera clip is a lifesaver. Earlier used to hang the camera by strap around my neck but the camera used to dangle a lot.. but using Peak Design clip works so much better. Just put the camera on the clip and take it out quickly when you need to shoot. No more neck pain.

Love this Peak Design Capture Clip. Clipping it on my backpack or belt makes it so accessible. It also takes the weight off of my neck when using the strap. My only hesitation would be using a long or heavy lens, but with lighter primes, it's awesome. Quality build. Very secure when on.

Took this out for a hike in the white mountains and ran into someone that asked me about it. It’s better in my opinion than a neck strap for rigorous hiking as your camera doesn’t swing around. It’s a little on the pricier side at $60 for what it is but all of the Peak products are.

Works great. Use it during hiking and normal walks. Holds my camera in place on my backpack and belt.

As an amateur photographer, I was used to having my camera dangle from a strap around my neck. Although I was able to find a comfortable strap, it wasnt convenient. Then, in preparation for my trip to Japan, I decided to get this clip when I saw a backpacker using it on a trail I was hiking. It is a world of difference. It puts the weight of the camera on my shoulder and the bounce is now non-existent! The quick release allows me to grab a snapshot when I want and have the neck strap loose on my neck (just in case). WORTH THE INVESTMENT.

Heard about this product from a fellow coach, who had been watching me carrying around a camera on my chest while dealing with clipboards, water bottles, athletes, etc. (In other words, full hands.) Wish I had known about this product sooner. Gone are the days of shuffling the camera back and forth into my backpack -- missing out on great shots -- or carrying it around and risking banging it into things. The base secures to my backpack strap and the other part hooks to the bottom of my camera. I can quickly access my camera when needed and keep it up out of my way when I need my hands for other tasks. Although it wasn't necessary, I did keep my camera strap attached as extra security should the camera slip out of this device. This was never an issue. It held the camera securely (just make sure everything is tightened down) so I could have taken the strap off the camera. This is one device I'll be recommending to others who do a lot with cameras.

This little piece is awesome. Makes it easy to carry your camera if you are doing an outdoor activity such as hiking or riding bikes. Quick release is also very handy if you need to dismount and take photos. Overall very satisfied. I use this with my Sony A6500.

The peak design clip is amazing. Was looking for a holster style camera clip that wasn't going to break the wallet and this one is good. Very easy to mount. The downside I found was having my canon R6 Mark II on my belt/hip was uncomfortable as it js heavier, but Peak Design sells a pad that can help mitigate that. Overall solid design. Peak design has a great ecosystem.

So to be honest, I bought this thing because I had expiring best buy rewards I had to get rid of. I didn't think I would use it. Much to my surprise, it is quite the opposite. Both units go on their respective things easily and are snug. I had concerns the camera adapter would have to be swapped when I was switching between hand-held and tripod, and thankfully, it didn't. Saves some time! For those who may want to attach this to your hip, I strongly suggest getting a duty belt. You can find those on Amazon (not competitive with BBY products so I'm good). The reason behind this suggestion is that depending on your camera and the lens, that's a lot of weight on your normal belt, which can be unfortunate in public if you know what I mean. Anyway, that's about it!

Easy to use and super helpful when you need immediate access to your camera. You can place it in your belt or in the straps of your backpack. Very secure and reliable. Totally recommend for all.

Camera feels extra secure and safe. It's a must have for quick access to your camera. It works on any belt or strap. It's not difficult / complicated to secure.
