Probably made as an attempt to cash in on the popularity of other book-to-film adaptations based on children's and YA series (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, etc) - this series does not reach that standard of quality. FX are OK in some areas, poor in others. Acting is OK but the story feels a little disjointed. I suspect it's more enjoyable if you've ready the books first.

We really enjoyed the books and found the movies to be great as well! My son was excited that he found it in the bargain bin, and watched it as soon as he got home.

Although not as good as the first one, Sea of Monsters is still a fun film for the whole family!

We love movies in our house and are always looking for good deals at Best Buy to purchase them! DVD worked perfectly.

I loved this movie, i am really glad i got it in 3D. i really hope they make more of these movies.

This is a sequel that lives up to its predecessor film. The 3D is worth the price of admission alone.

bought the movie as a gift for my daughter as she enjoyed the other movie, we both expected sea monsters but there wasn't any sea monsters-just the hint of a sea monster. We felt a bit cheated. Though my my daughter still enjoyed the movie!

Book to movie adaptions are always tough and extremely tough it seems in the young adult book adaptions. This one was ehh. Nathan Fillion as Hermes was awesome. The others were good but not the same fun as the first one.
