Wish it had stayed closer to the book but overall good kids film

This one wasn't my favorite but it could just be my taste in movies.

I loved this movie. It teaches you about greek mythology but in an interesting way. The characters are great. Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson where excellent. I believe they should make the rest of the series. The effects where great. I recommend this movie to all ages!!!!!

I didn't expect the movie to be as good as it was but since Chris Columbus, director of a few Harry Potter movies, I can see where the quality of entertainment and type of storyline came from, it was done in a Harry Potter-esque way so you know it'll be a winner. And speaking of that amazing series, which my family just love, we all know that Harry is about to end (I know, I'm sad too) but the Percy movies could be a good a great series as well. Harry hands the baton off to Percy.....a good idea and makes good sense (as long as the storylines stay strong). I agree with the first review about the Lady Gaga scene.....strange. Ok, the only thing that bothered me a little, and really bothered our 4 boys, was the Sigorney Weaver narration. I know thats the way they chose to integrate a narative format but for some reason, the way the director chose to use Sigorney's voice and the accompanying theme music/sound just didn't seem to fit smoothly. It was bothersome at times. Other than that, great movie and enjoy!

Its Harry Potter meets Clash of the Titans . . . .but your kids can watch it! The movie overall is fun for all ages (well maybe not for a 4 year old might be too scary). The story though vastly different form the book is very engaging easy to follow and a laugh at all levels. Even the parents will get a good laugh out of it. The CGI was very good. The young actors hit it out of the park. Cons: Extras could have been better and does not totally follow the book, some important character let out, but that is being nit picky. Overall a good movie where you will mot be rushing to cover the kiddies eyes for inappropriate things.Its good for a family movie night.

The movie was great. I went to it with my fiance on Valentines Day of all days...I was prepared to be disappointed and it was fantastic! I don't know what the person who said it was terrible was talking about. I read the books and THEY were AWFUL! The writing was absolutely terrible in the books. I read all of the time and I struggled to finish them. The movie is fantastic though. Definitely a thumbs up and I definitely think that they should make the second one. Rick Riordan...you're a terrible terrible writer...Chris Columbus...Bravo!

Really enjoyed this movie. I feel like this has the potential to be the next lord of the rings or Harry potter. The story is great. I am hoping this does well enough to release the next book to movie.

A magical storyline about character percy Jackson going through his young life feeling like a misfit and not understanding why. As the story progress' and he discovers who he really is and what he is capable of it becomes even more exciting and heartwarming with excitement and sadness and frustration mixed in. It was truly a great escape and fun filled time watching this movie and I cannot wait for sequels to this movie to be made.

The biggest issue people have with this movie is that it differs from the books too much. It's not a terrible film, but loyal readers expect the film to stay closer to this pure storyline that Rick Riordan masterfully created. Either way, it was still pretty enjoyable. Percy and Grover were well cast.

I love fantasy movies and this one ranks near the top with me. Great story. Great effects. If you have or haven't already seen it at the theater, you will truly enjoy it on Blue Ray!

For the most part this a great family film. The six year old didn't like the scene in Hell or the scene with Medusa. But the adventures are fun and it is a great way to introduce some kids to mythology.

movie is nice, plot is fine, like the message it gives, did not like Medusa being dressed in black leather like a halloween costume. Liked the effects. Acting of the main actors was good. Good family movie. My daughter ( 9.5 years old) loves the movie.

I loved the plot, acting could have been just a little better, but it out shown everything that the critics had to say bad about this movie. I have watched it 5 times already, and will watch it again when ever I get bored.

My Grandson enjoyed the movie. I did not know anything about this move, but I liked it too. The price was too good to pass up in Blu-Ray. I would recommend the purchase of this DVD.
