Some of the DVD's wouldn't play at all and the ones that did play would freeze up during the movie. Philips did agree to replace it so hopefully the second player works better. Disappointed especially since it was purchased right before we left for vacation

The units don't stay closed if you hit a bump. They pop open and the movie stops. The button layout is frustrating due to the size and design, as these are for my kids I'm reaching behind the seat trying to push buttons. Constantly skip and a scratch the DVD itself. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Does not work it says you can watch the same movie on both and you can only see movie on one and you can only hear from the other. So if kids wanted to watch the same movie they had to wait until one was done watching it

We bought this hoping to use at home or by itself - found out after we got it home, if you use it outside the car, it won't work. Has to be plugged in at all times. Does not serve the purpose we wanted. Returned

Units never worked together to watch same movie, returned thinking I got a bad product, next set lasted 2 weeks before they stopped working together.

We have to purchase a new set of these DVD players about every 12 months. We bought this new set about 3 weeks ago. One of the players is already making a funny noise.

I've bought this item a couple of times. Had to exchange it a couple of times, as well. Product will not close after a while causing the movie to not play.

Have to mess around for an hour yesterday to get thing to turn on. Had to leave it running while in store so child could watch on the way home. I would not recommend at all.

We bought this player for our road trip this summer. We've watched a total of 4 movies on the player so far on two different days. Based on reviews of other players, I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this player. I gambled on paying a little more for a higher quality product based on other reviews. It looks like it paid off. The player has worked great so far. It was easy to set up and use. I will not hesitate to use in the future for long rides. The one disadvantage (or advantage) is that the player does not have a rechargeable battery. It doesn't have any battery. It stops when the car is turned off. This can be a nice feature to have, especially when you have two kids watching a movie and one has to go to the restroom and the other does not. There is no discussion on whether it should be turned off or not while one is out of the car.

I keep coming back and buying these dual car DVD players as they are a god-send with my 2 children in the backseat. They perform well & love that both DVD players can play off each other--2 different dvd's playing at once or one showing on both, but they do not hold up. This is my 4th set in 3 years. ADVICE: GET THE 2 YEAR GEEK SQUAD PLAN! Best buy has been fantastic on switching them out for me when one or both DVD players break. It seems the open/close function on the top just wears out--it closes but not tight enough for the player to register. This set I am on now I have had 9 months and now one DVD player will not read. I am returning again. Wish I had more options when buying a dual DVD player but this seems to be the only one on the market. When they work, they are fantastic. And then they break.

We bought Phillips dvd players several years ago and this is the fourth round of returns/replacement. We have had many problems with previous versions of the Phillips dvd players. Since we had a warranty on the first set, we have been able to return and get replacements. However, we have gone through two "discontinued" items and are now with this current model. So far, so good. This is the first set where each kid can watch their own movies. How awesome is that! My son hated when it was my daughter's turn and had to watch a Barbie movie. The kids love them and it makes the long trips peaceful with them wearing their own ear buds.

Overall good product. It keeps my kids entertained for long and even short periods of time. The players are great because they just pickup where they left off when the car is turned off. The kids can watch different things if they want. They lasted through the heat in the summer, hoping they last through the winter without having to take them out each time.

Used the tvs maybe 5 times they no longer work and of course it was after the 2 weeks

I purchase them on black Friday 2015 very nice picture, and sound the axillary cord makes the car go surround sound so even the driver can enjoy hearing the movie and please purchase the warranty

Needed to replace old dvd player for road trips. Old unit had two screens, but only one player. With two kids, of different ages, this setup worked perfectly. They could watch a movie that they agreed on, or they could watch different movies. Not a bad price for the setup in my opinion.

Very disappointed. Returning this back to the store.
