I also purchased earphones for them and that has been a blessing for the adults! Got a great deal on these at approximately 50% off at Best Buy online.

Great Headphones

When my son come by he put them on and said WOW! It completely blocked any outside noise and the sound was wonderful. Very comfortable on the ears. Needless to say my son got a pair for Christmas.

It has a good picture and sound for a portable unit. The dvd player has withstood the handling of a six year old in the third seat of their van. Great purchase.

weak sound level

Many CDs/DVDs do not play loud enough and headphones are not an option for us. Had an Insignia first and it lasted only through 3 CDs then would not play at all. Returned it for this one from Best Buy.

Must have for the car

I wish it came with cords to plug into the TV. This is the second one we have bought only because we lost the first one and both of the car carrying cases are just too flimsy.
