Practical piece for the money. Handy with kids around.

Grandchild thought it was great Christmas present.

I bought this to take on a 4 hour plane ride for my 2 year old. I researched nearly every DVD on the market and bought this one for the longest bettery life, largest screen and best price. We used it nearly the entire flight and the 1 hour drive from the airport to grandma's house without a recharge and it was still running strong. Picture is excellent. LOVE the 9 inch screen. My toddler has dropped it a few times and has bumped it and shaken it while operating and it doesn't skip a beat. Sound is great both with and without the headphones. Although on the plane you do have to have the volume all the way up to hear over the plane engines. My 2 year old has already learned the basics of play and stop and open so it is very user friendly. If I had one complaint it would be the White outershell. It gets a bit dirty but wiping down with a cloth cleans it up and I'm sure a cover will solve the problem. I am extrememly happy and I'm sure the passengers on board were too!

We bought this for Christmas for my daughters, we opened it, tried 3 movies, and all 3 skipped, 1 of which was brand new out of the wrapper. We exchanged it today for another one (same model). Hopefully this one isn't a lemon too!

The dvd player works well, but the case it says you can mount in your car is flimsy and is hard to mount in the car. Making it difficult for kids to watch the movie from the constant readjustments

I bought this for a 7 hour flight for my 2 year old. She seems to be able to work the DVD player with no problem. She dropped it a few times (that I saw) but it still runs fine. The charge on the player held for over 2 runs of a DVD. The screen is a good size for viewing and the unit is lightweight for portability. It comes with a remote but you can not turn it on/off remotely because the unit comes with a physical on/off switch. I thought this was a great value and it bought me hours of peace and quiet! (Ok, I'll admit it - I'm a bad mom because it's been my baby-sitter... )

My first area of disappointment was when I went to put a DVD in and found that he didn't have the capability to even play a dvd. My second was it was very slow right out of the box.

This product did not work properly right from the start but it got better over time. I wish there wa another in store option other than the insignia brand which we had problems before with.

I bought this for a long car ride and the product box indicated it was anti-skip. After seven hours in the car, I can tell you it is anything but anti-skip! Awful and will never buy another product from them again.

Has no power to raise sound level. You have to use an aux cord to b able to hear it even over minimum car noise. Picture not very bright v

I bought this solely to play European DVD's. Advertising states unit plays multiple formats. VIDEO setting confirms. Notso. Had to return it.

Okay, I make my daughter play with toys or read when we are in the car. She is 8. But we had drove to Texas for an emergency and she was miserable. So on for the trip back I decided to get the DVD player for her. It worked GREAT! The screen quality is great. Volume was not problem. Even on the noisy Arkansas roads I could hear it in the front of the car. It was very easy for her to use. My only complaint is the case that comes with to mount it on the back of the seat. The DVD player won't fall out, but when you open the DVD player up it pops out of the top of the case. Again, it never fell out. The car was packed so much that I finally put enough items under it for it to sit on it because I could never get it tight enough to not lean downwards. We hit bumps and I slammed several times on the brakes and the DVD never stopped or skipped. I also liked it because when she shut it off, then restarted it, it remembered where she was in the movie. My daughter loves it and I do to. We take it in the car all the time now. I am a Wal-mart online shopper always, but this time I could not find a DVD play with a big screen that I wanted. That is why I shopped with Best Buy. I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase. It also shipped very fast.

Gonna take this unit back to store. Ordered it on line for my 8 year old for xmas this year. We drive up north a lot. I fully charged it per the directions and it won't read any DVD's. Store bought, not home burned or Bluray. Very disappointed. I hate shopping. One reason I bought on line and had delivered.

Only a month old and stopped working. Cheaply made do not waste you money.

Hoping the 3rd time will be a charm. Wires gave out and screen gave out.

My husband and I purchased this item to take on a 7 hour road trip. We chose this one because we like the brand and because it is widescreen and came with a remote and the thing to attach it to the car's headrest. Having a remote makes a huge difference in how easy it is to replay a dvd or change things without having to practically crawl into the backseat. It was super easy to attach to the head rest. The volume is great. We've owned one where you could hardly hear it at it's max level. My daughter and I recently took an airplane on a trip and the battery lasted the entire 3 hour flight. The only complaint I have is that you have to take the player out of the holding thing to change the dvd and that can be a little bit of a pain when you have it hanging from the head rest. Definately not a big enough issue to stop me from giving a 5 star rating. All in all I would definately reccomend this product.

Bad screen settings, would have returned to store, but opened while on vacation in mountains, time ran out. Cannot watch except in very dark room.

I picked it up from best buy, charged it and then realized it did not function right. Return was easy except for a second trip to the store. The returned item works well so far. With young kids more hidden controls would be better

I like the large screen and the ease of use for the portable player. The battery life is one of the longest for a dvd player, we can easily get thru 2 movies before it needs to be recharged or plugged in. It even comes with a case that can attach to the back of the seat for easy hands free viewing.
