I was looking for a portable dvd player for a while. I found this one online for $50.00 cheaper than what it was being sold for in the store. I bought the item online then I just picked it up in the store later. It was very easy to do. I am very happy with the dvd player, battery is great, picture is ok ( not HD quality but good enough).

I bought this product because my 3 year old wanted a tv and dvd player. She is kind rough with items and isnt ready for a 300.00 tv. This product is perfect for her, she can carry it from room to room. Very easy for her to learn how to use on her own. Great picture and sound. Very durable . She loves it and uses it everyday.

My husband and I bought this DVD player for our 8 year old after shopping around on-line. This unit had the best customer ratings for the price and seemed to have the longest battery life. The unit arrived within 3 days after purchase. We couldn't be happier with it. It comes with a portable holder for the back of a car seat. The display is great, as is the sound and it's perfect for both little hands and big.

Very nice for the price. I like the larger screen and longer battery life. Seems to have nice speakers, but son uses headphones most of the time. Picture could be a touch nicer, but still very good for the price. Have told several friends about the player.

I bought this for my 1 yr old grandson for long car trips. We just put Sesame Street on and away we go. It attached to the rear headrest, he faces backwards in his car seat, and just gos and gos. I have pluged it in to the "lighter" in the backseat to charge and for longer rides. He has kicked it with his feet, never skips, and offers a very good picture and sound. You won't be sorry if you purchase this.

Great picture, sound could be a little louder. Easy to operate and use in a car or plane. Needs a case to carry around. Battery has long 6 hrs.

Ordered 2 of these on line Thanksgiving day and got a great price with free shipping ! Works well for my grandsons of 2 and 4 and the 4 year old has mastered the controls. Picture quality is good for a portable and the larger screen and 5 hour battery are great features. A little disappointed that the outer case was white and it had been pictured as black. Did not realize this until Christmas morning when gifts were opened.

This was a birthday gift for my son, so he will have something to entertain himself on trips, but he enjoys sitting on his chair watching movies on it too. Great product, great price, and the picture and sound quality are great, especially considering it is so compact!!! My only complaint is that the headrest strap seems a little weak for over the long haul, but that is not so bad as much as it will be used in the car anyway...

Plug in a set of headphones and you've got beautiful sound! You can watch two movies on one battery charge.

Love this Philips 9" portable DVD player. It worked fine since I purchased it 2 weeks ago. After the first charge, I let it played until the battery died. It lasted for more than 4 hours which is more than what I need for watching a movie. The dvd player came with an AC charger, a DC car charger, a remote control, and cable allows you to connect the av/audio (red, white, and yellow, not included) cable to your tv if you want to watch the video on a TV. The best part of this player is that it allows you to player DVDs from other regions outside of US. A region-free Dvd player usually costs a little more.

This DVD provides exactly what it has promised so far. The picture quality is great (Not HD, but perfect for a small screen with kids watching). The battery life is as advertised, and charging is relatively quick. Nice that they provide the car adapter too. Have only had this 1 month so don't know about long term durability.

I got this for my 2 yr old daughter. She hogs the TV after dinner but this has solved our TV sharing problem. For the price I would say it is a great deal. If you don't mind spending a little more you might want to get a higher quality model from someone like Sony. The picture is OK, but I expected more form a 9". Battery life is excellent. Outer housing is very durable but once you open it up, it looks real cheap. Very thin looking plastic DVD cover that has a latch and flimsy spring for opening. Like I said, for the price it's a great deal but if you can afford it, get a better one.

I love this DVD Player. I travel a lot so this 5 plus hour battery will last me majority of my flights. It's 9 in screen is much better then the regular 7 or less inches. If you are in the market to buy a long lasting DVD layer go with this brand. My advice pay the extra 20 dollars to get 2 more hours of battery life. Trust me when your bored and in the air 30,000 feet with no plug you will be thankful!!

We bought this portable DVD player before a trip to DC. It was great entertainment for our 5 yr old son for the long trip home. We generally have taken a laptop computer but it's too heavy and I was returning by myself so needed a DVD player my son could hold. We were surprised to see that included in the box was a nylon car mount that fastened to the front seat and worked great! It folds up when not in use so it's out of the way. My son is able to work the DVD player by himself which is a big help. It is a little awkward to replace the DVD's. This is because the release to open the player is on the left side and you need to move the mesh netting on the nylon car mount that keeps the player in place and also the on/off and volume switch is on the left side. But he learned quickly and can do it by himself so obviously it is easy to use. I kept this DVD player over the Sony (a bit more expensive). I liked the LED screen better on the Sony but really liked that I didn't need to buy a holder for the car with this Phillips DVD player. We also liked the 9" screen better than the 7". Also included were all the cords you need - charger for house & car. It has been keeping the charge about 4-5 hours. And we have dropped it already, and it's working fine. I did buy the protection plan since we have kids. It was a bit more at Best Buy than other places but we were able to get it last minute and it works great! Also saves about $1100-1500 to install 2 DVD players in the headrests of our new to us (used) Odyssey. I would recommend it! I just saw there are the dual DVD's on sale now (so if you're looking for a portable dvd player, get them on sale!).

My daughter is 9 and hasn't had any problems thus far. She finds it easy to use, I know because I haven't had to help her once! Great picture and easy to use remote. Works great in the car. Big screen and head phone jacks make it a dream for adults in the car! Got a great deal online $90! Wait for it....

We are using it for over a year and it is working without any issues though we only use it when we go for long tips and kids are not allowed to play with this as a toy. If it is handled rough and used at home for movie watching I bet it will break or stop working as it does not look very durable. We do not have any issues with skipping movies, sound or battery. It works for long hrs when fully charged and keeps the kids busy in the back seat. We use it in a car for three kids in the back seat and use a portable DVD case that is strapped to the head rests and hangs in the center. The case that comes with the player is useless and cheap so buy one from case logic. Parents, if you haven't tried a DVD player on a long drive do invest in a portable DVD player. It is a great invention. It can play DVDs that you burn on your computer.

I got this for my 3 year old and he loves it and has used it all year with ease! It has great battery life and he can use it all on his own without any help!

I purchased two of these DVD players in the middle of the Holiday sales. They are pretty straight forward with nothing complicated about them...perfect for my 5 and 6 year old boys. Each came with a case to hang on the headrest in the car, a remote, the DVD player, and some breakout cables to hook the unit to a larger TV. So far they have loved watching their own movies and the peace and quiet I get is worth every penny....hahaha. I did buy them over the ear headphones so they can watch separate movies in the same room or in the backseat without competing to see who's movie is louder. The player exterior impressed me as it feels fairly solid and makes it easy to hold without slipping or a bunch of fingerprints. Great buy overall.

Very happy with this item. The main user for this little player is my 3-yr old kid. So I'm very happy it didn't give me any trouble in the past year since I bought it. It's usually being used in my car. The screen contrast and brightness are pretty good so the watching experience with daylight is nice. The battery lasts about 5 hours, which is good too since we have a charger in the car
