bought it for my husband. he loves it. had about a month. he uses it at least three days a week. able to play dvd's and cds etc. not all players can. good sound quality.

We have been through 3 different portable DVD players over the past couple of years. This model is one of the better systems that we have purchased. It plays DVDs that some of the other players would not. It has a long battery life (5.5 hrs continuous play when fully charged). Our recent trip was an 11 hour one way drive with 2 toddlers and this made the drive so much better. The car mounting strap is more secure than the other systems that we have used. The only drawback if we had to think of one is that when the DVD player is playing, it will not charge the battery at the same time. The battery only charges when the power is off. It will play when plugged in even if the battery is completely dead. The sound is loud enough for the kids to hear, but too loud where we cannot hear them talk to us if they need something. The car power adapter was plenty long enough to reach from the dash board to the middle row in our Toyota Sienna minivan. This plyer was so great that after our 22 hour round trip we purchased another one for our 1 year old for future trips. This even came in handy for me on a recent long shopping trip where the wedding party was getting fitted for suits. Our 2 year old could watch his movie in his stroller while we all spent a few hours getting everything for the wedding. Very handy in those situations!!!

I bought the product this week & have been happy, thus far. I got a steal on it & purchased it for 59.99. Both the sound & picture quality are great, esp; the SOUND! I love the fact that it has a 9" screen, instead of the 7". As far as the mounting system, I personally think it works fine. Nothing fancy & a little cheaply made, but it came w/the Dvd player, so no big complaints. You just have to make sure to adjust the tightening strap. It's a little flimsly, but overall does the job. I like that it came with a remote control, adaptor, etc; etc.. I love the style/color - it has a white outerface. The buttons on the dvd player are simple & easy to operate. Overall, we're really happy with this & would recommend it!

The DVD player has performed flawlessly with heavy use. Battery life is great and I have no complaints.

I got this for my mom for $55, and she absolutely loves it, it's extremely easy to use, and has a very sharp picture, plus it has a rewind/forward button on the player itself as opposed to most DVD playrlers that only have that on the remote control. Also the battery lasts approx. 5 hrs. Which is a very long time relative to other players. This is especially recommended to older people who are not so tech savvy, since it's very easy to operate and it has text on the control buttons instead of symbols. The only thing not so great about it is that the wire is quite short so you'll probably have to use an extension cord with it, but that was no big deal for me. Bottom line, I'm extremely happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anybody.

I enjoy using my Philips portable DVD player very much. Its lightweight, easy to carry and move from one place to the other, simply to use and picture quality is good. I also trust the Philips brand. The only thing that I don't iike is that It does require frequent charging but charges up quickly.

Good product with nice picture and excellent battery life. The only downside is that it is still a bit bulky, but I use it in the car and just strap it to the headrest so that isn't much of an issue for us.

My family loves this dvd player so much we own two. One player is over two years old and the battery still operates at 5 hours! The other player is over a year old and is also used every single day. BTW, both players are mostly used until the player states to plug in the AC cord. The dvd's look very good and the sound isn't too bad but with headphones you get great sound. I wish this had a USB port to plug in external speakers powered by USB. I have several great sets of USB speakers by Go Groove and they would make this player perfect for us without worrying about recharging the Go Groove speaker we use with it that plugs into the 3.5mm jack. That being said, we love over Philips dvd player and would not buy another brand as no other brand we have researched gives you a 5 hour battery. I highly recommend this player... PS: If you can stand the wait, wait for the holidays and buy it when it's under seventy dollars! :-) Be well.

I loved this portable DVD player a lot. Its picture quality and sound are very nice. Battery lasts long too.

We bought this for my baby to watch DVDs on long car rides... great for battery life.. unfortunately most kids movies are blu rays now and this is not blu ray. Quality is also good.

wide screen and dual ear plugs make this a great travel device.

We bought this for our grandson who is 6 & he just loves it & so does his parents. Nice clear picture, larger screen, very easy for him to operate on his own. Has nice case for attaching to the back of car seat. Very reasonable priced!

Very nice portable DVD player. Easy to use. Has remote control and case included. Did not need to purchase separately as other models. Great for switching between vehicles.

So far so good! Easy to use, my 4 y/o girl already knows how to use it... Good picture, good sound; it's worth the money. We just bought it a few weeks ago, so far, so good.. I hope it keeps working for a loooong time!!

Durable, clear picture, easy to use. My 2 year old loves it. Great for trips or she lays in bed with it. She has even learned how to press play and stop so its easy to use. Definitely worth the money. GREAT BUY!!

It seems to work quite well. I have issues with the connector cord coming loose easily (as it is only about 4 feet long and to "hide" it away from kids...between the two seats, is difficult). The picture quality is good.

I have been absolutely THRILLED with this purchase! I bought two - one for each of my kids - and they exceeded my expectations. EXCELLENT picture and sound and they seem to be exceptionally durable, which is mandatory considering I have the two most destructive boys on the planet. It is rare that I am this impressed with a product. I would HIGHLY recommend it!

This DVD player had an excellent screen size and battery life for a long plane flight!

Nice little unit. Seems good quality. No operational issues. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the volume of the speakers could be a little louder. Some movies are somewhat hard to hear even at full volume.

My 12 year old received this for Christmas and absolutely loves it. He's used it on a regular basis for a month with no complaints. In fact, I have 3 other children, older and younger that I think should have received one! He watches it in the house as well as the van and so far has had no issues with the battery life. I searched and reviewed many dvd players before choosing this one and many of the others had negative reviews on the volume when the headphones were not used...this one has good volume and I've even had to get onto the kids about having it too loud when we're all in the van. I would definitely choose this one again.
