Bought this for my wife and she loves it. Nice size screen, good sound, long battery.

I bought this DVD player for my Mother, for Christmas. She is 81 years young and found it very easy to use and just loves it. Now I have to buy her some new movies...lol I also, purchased the Warranty for another two years just in case she was to accidentally drop it. She was greatful for that as well. This is my second one I have purchased and will continue to use this brand and Best Buy.

Great convenient product and have at least 2 working available for long hour usage like tv shows and movies. I highly recommend this product to anyone who have sometime to available and just pull this out and watch. Enjoy :)

I brought two for 70.00 several weeks ago, so far the product is working well. I brought one for my austistic grandson because he like working electronics for himself. I feel this was a great price because in the pass I have had two sony players and they just stop connection with the closing mechanism. So, i have no cons at the moment. Sony 200.00 last five years 70.00 half price great

Purchased this to entertain my two sons (3 years; 9 mos) on plane rides and it has worked well so far. By the time the novelty of looking out the window wears off, electronics can be used in flight and we can start watching their favorites.

We all absolutely love this DVD player! Our 5 year old Grandaughter uses it with ease. Perfect for relaxing before bedtime or taking on longer car trips!

so far so good. I purchased these because I am using 1 monitor in each of my two cars. I just had to buy another charger. image quality is nice. Can't complain

This was a great buy and seems to be the best portable DVD player for the cost. Have had it for 2 weeks and so far its durable and hope it stays that way. Volume could be a little louder for use in the car but overall, this is a great dvd player for all ages!!

GREAT BUY - NO PROBLEMS for 2 YEARS!!! We have used this for two years and have had no problems. Originally bought to use while traveling so sons could watch DVDs. It is also easy to connect to hotel TVs and watch DVDs we brought from home. When not traveling my wife connects to an older TV we have in the basement and uses it for workout DVDs while she does aerobics and strength training.

For the price I was expecting slightly more TV like graphics instead of something more pixelated like a handheld gaming system, but the battery lasts for a long time and it's pretty durable so all in all not a bad purchase.

Beautiful picture, very clear and colors are great. My daughter loves it and finds it easy to use.

9" is a good display for a lap/ car dash viewing. Audio and video quality is a good balance (though not great) Sleek remote is easy to carry and battery charge lasts longer Wall charger holds upto International voltage 250V rating thats a good thing for portability even to foreign countries Possible improvements in --------------------------------------- I wish the DVD player wud play even when the display is closed and external TV thro' A/V output is playing. So I can use as a normal DVD player with powered. Could be a better one if they had USB port for input from external HDD Though it seems to be black it is a white DVD player outside. Since I put them in black sleeve (came with it ) always, it was not a big prob to consider. Overall its a best buy compared to small 7" portable DVDs which is current market.

We love it, we bought it so our oldest daughter would be able to watch her own movies instead of 3 kids trying to watch different movies. It was so worth it. It is quiet awesome.

Overall we are pleased with this player. This has the best battery I've seen for a portable anything.

The Philips 9" widescreen portable DVD player is a super value for the purchase price. My daughter uses it when traveling in our car and loves the picture and sound quality. We were looking for a larger format DVD player (larger than 7") at a price in our budget (around $100) and found the Philips to be an excellent choice. We especially liked that the DVD player came with a auto adapter as well as seat mounting option all included in the package. The battery life is as advertised, and the widescreen display is crisp, clear and bright. Overall this Philips portable DVD player is the perfect fit for our needs.

Bought this mainly for long drives and trips for either me or my gf to watch depending on who's driving and I was impressed at the picture quality and sound from this unit. I'm so glad I bought this one, it truly is impressive. I got the extended warranty on it as well just in case something happens to it. Very satisfied with this Phillips portable DVD player!

My 8" portable suddenly just stopped playing, so had to replace it. What a great find - this Philips was on sale for $69.99 - $20 cheaper than my 8" had been 5 years ago & 1" bigger! Yay! I keep mine by my bed for when I wake up during the night & can't sleep...right now I'm watching episodes of ALF :) I bought this in Nov. 2010 & have been using it since. Works great, I don't' need the remote I can work everything from my pillow. I do wish I had bought 2, just to have a spare. My only complaint to the Best Buy Guy was "really...white? is that the only color it comes in?" I would prefer black or silver. But I still love it.

I bought this DVD player for my 21 month old for Christmas to be used for long road trips. It is a good DVD player, nothing fancy, very basic controls & DVD compartment. The only things I am not happy about are that it doesn't fold flat for mounting in the car. Just opens to an L shape and thats how the car mount holds it (its decently secure but the holder fits a little off). But that was to be expected for a cheap DVD player, you have to pay big bucks for one that folds flat or one that the screen swivels. My biggest complaint though is the controls on the remote. It doesn't have a POWER BUTTON or VOLULME CONTROL! What I consider to be 2 of the most important controls that you would need on a remote, and they aren't on there. Makes it hard to control from the front seat when I have to reach back and do those controls manually.

We travelled from Southern California to Colorado over Christmas break and this portable dvd player was the magic trick to helping keep my 2 year old son happy!! It's the best purchase we've made in awhile. Solid cover, good picture quality and even my two year old figured out if he opened the disc area the movie would stop, which was incentive enough to stop doing it!

Have purchased numerous of this particular brand/model for my special needs son -- they get a LOT of use! Buy this one in particular because it has a long battery life. Had to return this particular one in the store because it wouldn't charge, but just got the exact same model in the store. I would buy more of these for sure.
