I am very satified with my purchase. It has a nice size screen and clear picture. For the price it is exceptional. I have looked for a couple of years for this kind of deal.

We recently took this on vacation with us & it worked great. Plus it's nice that you can hook it up to your tv. Picture & sound were excellent especially for the price. Can't wait to go on a long road trip & hook it up in the car for the kids. Would highly recommend!

I got it only to use at home, to take in a bedroom or living area to watch a movie when tv is in use or I want to be in other part of house. It is not bought to be used on battery for me or in car.

I've had two of the series of Sony 7' DVD players. Both have stopped working in a range of 4 months from purchase. Very happy with it at first, great screen definition, easy controls, one of them had a remote control, very handy in the car, my 4 year old knew how to make it work better than I would.. But after daily usage in driving back and forth from home-school-home they have not lasted long. Considering changing name brand. Maybe we have had bad luck.

I bought this during the xmas holidays and they had it for $59. couldn't beat the price, plus the kids love it.

I love it! My son is well entertain when we go on long or short trips. It is very durable. We have had ours for 4 years and it still works great.

Bought this for my husband who is hard on things. He loves it and it has made 3 trips with him and so far so good. I paid far less than I expected for his size screen.

This is a great product for the money. I was expecting a black one but guess I should've looked closer at the description. The screen is very pixelated but since it was on sale during Christmas I can't complain. And the car holster that fits on the back of the seat is a great addition.

The one feature I LOVE about this dvd player is the Last Memory of where you left off when watching a movie. It picks up right where you left off if you had to turn it off earlier. I got this on sale on Black Friday so the price was great, regular price would be a bit pricey though. I've had both 7" and 9" screens and to me there is very little difference in viewing, both are adequate.

We used the DVD player on an airplane, and it was really handy to take out and watch. It worked really well for us!

Sound choice, great value, attractive design...you'd be missing out on a great deal if you didn't buy this and went with something else.

This has had a good battery life so far, and comes with a power source to plug into a cigarette lighter/power port in a car.

Love how the battery life actually lasts, unlike other portable dvd players I've had in the past.

Let's be honest, if you are buying this particular DVD player it is because the thought of spending two or three times the amount of money just doesn't sit well with you. At least that's why I bought it. I did not buy it because it was Philips or because it was white...I bought it because it was inexpensive. However, I am debating whether I keep the player. Let's see...there is a bright green light in the lower right side of the player whenever it is turned on (true you could put some tape over it but typically I use a product for years before I bust out the tape), there is only one headphone jack (yes you can get a splitter...but still), there is a dull and consistent rattle when the DVD spins (tried multiple DVDs), and the device is very top heavy when open. I am sure my five-year old will not care about any of this so I will likely keep it because I am cheap. But I may just return it and save up a few more pennies for the Sony.

My friend is very happy because his son is well entertained in the car watching movies on this DVD player. The picture are good.

We bought this to use on long flights with no in-flight movies. Fortunately we hadn't needed it for that purpose yet but we gave it to our son to provide in car entertainment for our 1 year old granddaughter on long journeys. She LOVES it. We cover the deck with card to prevent her playing with the buttons. Bad news - it doesn't look like we are getting it back but we would be happy to buy another for ourselves.

Overall, I am satisfied with the performance vs the price I paid. The are the only cons I found: 1) Doesn't work when plugged in for charging! So, each time it is a full cycle of recharge. use, recharge... You cannot use it while charging. 2) Picture quality is ok but not that great. That is in line with the price I guess. 3) The menu controls and navigation can be improved 100 folds. These are all only minor problems, overall, I am satisfied with the performance.
