I don't regret buying it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the battery last up to three or four hours off the charger. It's advertised as up to 5 hours of battery life.

Had to bring the first one back since it would not operate without being plugged in. Battery would not charge at all. The second unit works just fine. It is equal in quality to many other brands out there. I chose this one since it was on sale.

When the second screen stopped working we tried to return product. Could not return product to store as it had been past the 45 day return. Contacted Phillips for 1 year warranty and was told product is not available in warehouse ( still sold in stores). After sending MULTIPLE proof of purchase and 5 emails they offerred to send refund for LESS than we paid for the unit??????? We will NEVER purchase another Phillips product!!! Notice many folks had the same problem. There should have been a recall and they KNOW IT!!!

No complaints about the way this DVD player works, but be sure to compare prices. Batterly life is longer in this model than most.

Only lasted 6 months ! I only used it 3-4 times for a total of 6-8 hours ! Just stopped working; all screen says is "reading" but disc doesn't spin. And, it won't hold a charge for more than 1 day. Have to use the power cord to test it. That would be so handy during a power outage, yes, I am being sarcastic. Of course, I didn't buy the extended warranty. Now I see why you need one ! Going to call Philips & see what, if anything, they will do for me. Otherwise, it's $100 thrown away ! Don't waste your time or money, unless you want a $100 piece of junk paperweight !

Picture a bit dark and sound is poor. It is very soft, even at the highest setting. It comes with AV input cables to hook up to your TV sound, but might as well purchase a DVD player if going through all that trouble. Also, it only allows to play using battery, which takes 7 hours to charge. Cannot play DVD using power cord.

Bought this for a flight for my children because I couldn't find the battery for my old one. I bought it based on the great reviews. It worked on the way down but for the flight back it would not read my dvds. The screen would say "no disc". I tried 5 different dvds. Thankfully we had it less than 14 days and returned it as soon as we got home!

Loved this DVD player when we got it - used it on planes, car rides, etc. We've had it about a year and now all the DVD's skip every time we use it. We had another brand that lasted 3 years that was cheaper than this one. Not impressed with this item's durability.

The sound kept going out and even if it was on, I could barley hear it, and no, it was not my headphones, I tried every pair I owned. If I could give this product a negative rating, I would.

will not play dvd-r,dvr-rw,or dvd-=r,I though i had a bad one so i took it back got another one,did not work,it works on movies you buy in the store only,so if you are only giong to use it that way ,buy it ,going to get my money back.

I bought this to keep the kids busy while on a long road trip. It worked great for 5 hours and then the LCD screen died. I'm returning it today and will try again with the same unit. It has many positive reviews so maybe I just got a lemon.

This product is the most useless electronic piece I have ever purchased. it does not fit in your car seat as shown on the box and manual. the picture quality is poor and it kept freezing all the time. it is simply useless piece.

I bought this because it was an awesome Black Friday deal. Unfortunately it does not read any of my DVDs so I will be returning it to Best Buy.

Bought this dvd player for my daughter to watch during long trips. It worked fine initially, but 2 months later it no longer reads dvds. Complete garbage, won't buy Phillips products ever again
