Fantastic light with wireless base. Like stering light on my iPhone

Love these lights, I have a total of 12 throughout my house.

Some of the coolest lights ever. Can control them with your phone in or away from the home. Can put them on a timer or set them to go on and off with the sunrise or sun set times automatically with 3rd party apps. No need to adjust the time day by day or worry that your set time will be 2 hours after dark. Get to create "scenes" for different moods or occasions. Can control all scenes independently or group scenes together and control them as on group. Very cool. For the party scene, you can set the phone or other mobile device to listen with its mic and the lights will flicker and change to the beat. As far as novelties go, this is a must have. Down side; very expensive. $50 per bulb, some of the hue friends are more expensive than that, stupid expensive. If the price was better (not Best Buy's fault, same price everywhere), I would have given 5 stars. Also, one cannot set a default color when power is applied to this light. If the power is removed then re-applied, the light will always turn on at the 3000K frequency (yellowish incandescent color).

The bulb works well, though it was pricey. If it lasts the advertised 15 years, it will be a good value.

You can't purchase this product as a star alone bulb. These bulbs run off of the hue adapter that needs to be plugged into your router. And of course Phillips does't sell just the router adapter. So you end up having to buy the starter kit which coms with 3 bulbs. So if you plan on having only one or two of these bulbs I would look at other smart light options.

My problem with the current hue lights is that they don't produce certain colors like green well.

This is my first Hue BR30, it works flawlessly with the other lights. I have expanded Hue to most of the first floor of my house. They work great and there are many apps now available to control lighting scenes.

I am able to set multiple timers for different bulbs. This allows me to give the appearance that someone is always in the house. Can change the colors, amount of bulbs that turn on and off.

The color-changing LED wireless bulbs make it really easy to adjust your lighting to any way you would like it. They are easy to install and program. Highly recommended!

Love these lights!!! When my friends come over they are amazed by what these lights can do. And there are so many apps that make these lights so much fun!!!!

I am using these hue bulbs as part of my home automation system. They are being controlled through a micasaverde veralite system as well as custom programming code. I currently have 25 various lights in this mesh network and it is very reactive with minimal power on/off delay. These lights are as bright as their incandescent counterparts except they offer a much broader range of color temperatures in a single bulb as well as all RGB colors. These downlamps have replaced 100 watt lights in my livingroom and provide for ample lighting at all color temperatures.

I have recessed lighting in my kitchen and this fits and works great for it. It's nice and bright and the color changing is a really cool novelty.

The bulbs are great, just as easy to setup as the while kits. Will buy more hopefully it would e cheaper when I do decide to purchase I have a total of 16 bulbs now and working to make the whole house automation

All in all I love these lights it take a bit to get them going and communicating properly. Once that is done I have had no problems just as bright as the 65watt incandescents that these replaced.

I love my Philips Hue lighting. The system is easy to setup and the lighting looks great. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Philips hue bulbs turn every room of my house into a never ending kaleidoscope of colors! In a bad mood? Just change the ambiance at the push of a button and your mood will instantly brighten by the changing colors. An added but major bonus is how efficient these bulbs are compared to standard light bulbs and LED bulbs last for years to come. Have some fun and create you own light recipes!

I purchased this for some colored lighting in our church youth room, but it was not bright enough at all. I ended up going with the LIFX brand with was MUCH brighter and more colorful.

Easy to control with various options creates wonderful moods and ambiance
