Fast setup and very user friendly, highly recommended

Have these and the A19's all around the house. Love being able to control my lights with timers and scenes from my iPhone. Only downside is I had to replace my dimmer switches due to loud feedback from the lights themselves. Outside of that Hue continues to lead the way!

It's is fun to play with colors around the house..

A little pricey but I love this system. Ultra easy to set-up and man did these change the feel of the entire room. Great features using a smart phone app (timers, alarms, geo fencing ... ). Endless control!

I've been a huge fan of Philips Hue. I loved it when I got it two years ago, and getting more excited when it starts supporting Smartthings hub and Amazon Echo. I also linked 3rd party bulbs like GE link Par38 which is not available from Philips Hue system.

The colors are great, but they lose connection from the bridge every once in a while for no apparent reason. Also, one or two lights randomly buzz or hum and randomly stop. If they worked perfectly at all times it would be a 5 star product, but the inconsistencies bring them down for me a little bit.

The Philips - hue BR-30 Starter Kit is a great intro to setting up your home with the HUE wifi enabled lighting. The colors are just spot on and pretty bright being LED. They fit great into my recessed lighting. I used my Living room as a jump off point and intend on branching out thru out the home eventually. Its great how with the smartphone you can control all of the arrays of color and light intensity for the BR -30 bulbs. My son who is 3 just thinks its awesome and I know there is an app that makes the lights change to the music you play! Awesome buy, you wont regret it!

this is really a great product, enjoy playing around with the colors. the UI for setting the timers and alarms can be a little better. for example drag and drop into a time slot. expand into a calendar day to see what is setup for the day.

Easy installation, but realize that this kit has the old 1.0 version of the Bridge. New bridge 2.0 is available which includes Homekit to work with Siri (for iOS users). Overall lights are great, and ended up buying 6 more lights.

Got this at a sale and at 40 bucks a bulb this is a pretty good deal. Set it up in the bathroom so I don't have to deal with harsh bright light early in the morning. Using it with Smartthings platform and has worked out well.

Favorite thing I ever purchased these lights are amazing. Some of them are sound activated can connect as many bulbs as you want many themes so cool I love it!!!!!

First of all i want to disclose that i am a Philips Lighting employee. However my review is not biased at all. This is a great product, it's range of color and functionality is excepcional. Paired with an app from the Apple store it's functionality is limitless. It's quality is excellent, especially from a great Company as Philips.

Very happy with the performance. I expect these will pay for themselves. Only issue was lost pairing with base after a few weeks. I needed to unscrew and screw 2 bulbs in for them to start working again... Hope it was a one off....

These lights are almost perfect. They work as expected. The color range is just so-so. The blues and greens (just like other Hue Color bulbs) are not true blue or green but rather a yellowish shade of green or blue.

I use these lights to add ambience behind my TV and also to help with eye strain at night. I love the kit, the app has it's few issues but Phillips updates the app regularly so bugs are quickly fixed. It costs a lot more than the average LED light strips but you are able to control it over the internet, anywhere and with the accessories you can buy for it such as the remote controls, makes it worthwhile.

lights work out the box but they are a little pricey compaired to others on market

Granted the new bridge just came out and they probably haven't started making this kit with the new bridge, it still was worth the purchase if you need BR-30 bulbs and do not already have a HUE system.

Bought these as a gift for my son for Christmas. He LOVES them and cannot believe how much he can do with them. He says they are the best present he ever got:))

My wife and I enjoy the calming shades of the lights while we watch TV after a long day at work. We don't like complete darkness so this fits the bill perfectly.

A little hard to get figured out at first but some online searching gave me all the answers I needed and now I can do some pretty cool stuff with my lights.
