It will react with the rest of your Hue lights and be a pretty color, but it won't light up much around it. It's got a battery so you carry it around with you and that's neat! Still not worth the cash.

But I do feel like when using it on color the light doesn't last as long when not plugged in. But a great light over all if bought on sale.
