I have used Norelco shavers for going on 40 years and have always been impressed by their quality and performance. This is my first beard trimmer from them and so far, it is performing just as well. The trimmer is comfortable to hold however it would be nice if it had a rubberized coating like their shavers as it is a little slippery. The trimmer comes with a lot of attachments including a medium width blade, a wide blade and a small blade for detailing. All of these are easy to snap on and off. It also includes 3 plastic combs and a hair collector. The hair collector works well enough, however I find the angle that you have to be at for it to work is a little awkward. It also comes with a cleaning brush and carrying bag. The trimmer is rechargeable and comes with a charging base that uses a proprietary AC to USB-A cable but does not come with a charging adapter. The trimmer can be charged with the cable or in the charging base. Don’t lose the cable. A USB-C charging port would be a nice upgrade. Norelco claims 2 hours of battery life and so far, I have not had to recharge the trimmer. As far as performance is concerned, the trimmer is powerful and does a very good job of trimming my beard. I keep mine fairly short and this trimmer is doing a good job. All things considered this is a really nice trimmer and if it lasts as long as my shavers it is well worth the investment.

For the last week, I've been testing the Philips Norelco - Beard Trimmer Series 7000. This electric trimmer is one of the best beard clippers on the market.
The body of the trimmer is solid, lightweight, and holds a charge that will last multiple trimming sessions. I like that it features a modular clipper head that can be changed out on the fly. There are a standard clipper head, a T-head, and a precision head. They are all self-sharpening and cut very cleanly. There are also two adjustable clipper guards which work in tandem with the standard clipper head. They are easy to install and modify the cutting length with a simple and easy-to-read twist dial built into the body of the trimmer. There are also two angled taper guards for people that use them. Personally, I like to stick to one shave length. Other things included are the hair catcher, charging cable, stand, and a carry bag.
In my use, the clippers performed great. I was able to gradually change the clipper's length to my preferred beard length, clean up my neckline, and precision-trim around my nose and lips. The only thing it doesn't do is provide a clean shave, which is fine because Norelco makes other trimmers that I prefer to perform that function.
With all that said, I've used Norelco products for years, and they are well-built, quality products that are easy to recommend.

When it comes to shaving I am typically all over the map. I will frequently go from a beard to full shaved to a light beard, mustache only, faded shave, back to full beard, many times throughout a year as I often just feel the need to change things up. What this means is that I end up using a beard trimmer a lot since I often have at least some facial hair for the majority of the year, and I am usually trying to keep it as clean as possible. My previous beard trimmer was good, but where it and other electric trimmers I have used tend to lack for me is consistency of trim. I often find myself getting hairs caught in the blades after a few passes, or needing multiple swipes to get tougher spots like my jaw, yet still finding long hairs that I missed that I need to clean-up with scissors afterwards, as my beard is a bit coarse naturally.
So far after almost a week of using this new 7000 series though, I haven’t had this problem at all. Not only is the cut very clean, but it's very precise. This is helped by the fact you get so many attachments in the included bag, including a wide trimming head, detail trimmer, two cones which when combined with the adjustment wheel on the trimmer itself, lets you trim from 0.4mm up to 20mm in small steps (and then larger steps the longer it gets). You also get a couple of fade combs, and a hair collector which is a bit of plastic shield that stops hair from falling out and going everywhere. The hair collector is probably the only piece of the trimmer that could be improved on for me, as it does stop a fair amount of hair from falling out, but it won’t catch everything and so while it doesn’t get in the way, don’t expect to avoid having to clean-up the counter afterwards. A minor gripe though, as no beard trimmer can do this fully, but just something to note.
What matters most is the cut, and again, this was excellent. The motor is strong, you still may need more swipes if you have a particularly long or coarse beard, but for me it worked great. I did a fade from my sideburns to my goatee and trimmed back my mustache, and it all worked perfectly. The fade combs are nice to have included, and the minor adjustments in height on the wheel allowed for some nice faded levels to the beard. Clean-up was easy since you get water resistance, so you can just rinse the razor afterwards, and I found very few hairs ended-up caught in the blades. The included cleaning brush can help but I found I was able to fully clean the blades without it. The charging stand charges quickly, although do be aware you still need to bring your own USB-A to wall socket adapter if you want to plug it into the wall, as it isn’t included. Honestly, this was my biggest complaint as most bathrooms don’t have a USB charging port, and so I wish it had just included the cable with a wall plug. Luckily I had an adapter lying around, but still, USB-A is much less common than USB-C these days. So many modern phone charger adapters won’t work for example. The base also doesn’t charge with USB, so you can’t just swap the cable to one you may have lying around for something like your phone or tablet.
Finally, I did also test the razor a bit with trimming my arm as well since I have tattoos and like to keep them cleaned-up, and while not intended for it, it worked great with this too. A nice bonus if just trying to clean-up other areas of your body with some light hair. Overall, I really loved this razor a lot and have very little to complain about. It meets all my needs and then some. The bag feels a little cheap, the hair collector is just okay, and the charging cable is annoying without a wall adapter included, but these are all small faults for me personally when the core razor is so good. Highly recommended.

I have been using a Philips Norelco beard trimmer for several years now. It’s an older model that has worked very well, and I was interested in trying this one. I have to say that it has two very nice features not found on my old one.
First off, though, the trimmer comes with several attachments—many more than my old one—but it is missing something that would have caused me to give this 4.5 stars instead of five if that were possible, and that is a way to charge it. It comes with a cable that has a proprietary plug at one end that goes into the shaver charging base and a USB-2 plug on the other end. But no A/C adapter to plug the cable into is provided. You’ll need to provide that yourself. I have several of these that I’ve collected over the years from previous cell phone and other purchases, so I was fine. But if you don’t have one, you’ll want to buy one at the same time you purchase the shaver. It just seems that something like this should be included in the box.
There is no indication of state of charge (25%, 50%, full, whatever), only a white light that comes on when the trimmer is in the base and charging. Once charged, the white light goes off. Out of the box, the trimmer had sufficient charge that I could use it immediately.
The trimmer comes with three different “cutting elements” of different widths depending on how precise you want to trim your beard. It also has two different adjustable “trimming guards” and “fading guards.” These fit over the cutting element, and the cutting element can be adjusted with a thumbwheel in height over a continuous, relatively wide range to give any final beard length you might want. I found this to be a wonderful feature compare to my old trimmer, which had one trimming guard giving one fixed height of final beard length and that was it.
Trimming guards give a uniform cutting height across with the width of the cutting element. Fading guards have a length gradient from close to not-so-close to allow precise shaping of your beard. The latter is something I’ve never used before. I’ve never given shaping my beard any thought, but now I’ll have to try it.
The other very nice feature is a “hair collector” attachment. With this, hair isn’t falling into the sink or whatever it is you’re trimming over but rather collects right on the head of the unit. You just periodically pop it off over a trash can and empty it. I love it, and my wife loves not having loose hairs around the bathroom sink no matter how careful I am to clean everything up when I’m done.
Overall, I am very pleased with this trimmer and expect to get many years of use out of it.

The Philips Norelco beard tirmmer 7000 is pretty much an all in one beard trimmer. If you are looking for a trimmer with multiple size blades, nearly infinite adjustability, and doesn't make a mess when you use it, then this beard trimmer is a great option. The Philips Norelco 700 comes with three metal blades. The standard blade, the full metal wide timmer blade and the metal detail trimmer blade. The Norelco 7000 also comes with a nifty attachment that catptures a significatn portion of the cut beard hairs. Norelco claims up to 80% and after using the bear trimmer, I think they are pretty close to being right. It does significantly reduce the amount of cut hairs that fall during use. The Norelco 7000 has forty adjustments for length and includes two combs. The statndard comb allows adjustments from 0.4 to 10 mm and the long comb allows adjustments from 10.4mm to 20mm. The beard trimmer also comes with two fading combs (left and right) for those of you who used them regularly. Teh trimmer is charged using the included stand and cord, but like most devices these days, it does not come with a charging block, that you will have to supply. And last but not least, the who package can be stored in the inculded travel puch when not being used. With 40 length adjustments and all of the various blade sizes and accesories, I think it would be hard to find a better option for the money. Also, battery life on a charge is excellent, so you can keep your beard in tip top shape for several days on a single charge.

This trimmer arrived well-packaged and includes a zippered pouch, which I really appreciate—it keeps all the attachments and charger neatly together. That kind of thoughtful detail matters.
The instructions, however, were printed on a folded sheet of paper and not easy to read. I never did figure out how the hair length wheel worked, which was a bit frustrating.
That said, the most important thing: it’s a solid trimmer. I used it to groom my husband’s beard, mustache, eyebrows, and ears—and even gave him a haircut with it. The three attachments (standard, wide, and precision) handled each task well.
I gave the hair catcher a try, but it didn’t add much value and was quickly set aside. The trimmer works better without it, in my opinion.
Functionality-wise, this tool delivers. The attachments are easy to swap, the motor feels strong, and the battery life is impressive. It also offers a quick-charge feature—just five minutes for a fast trim when you're in a pinch.
Overall, between the performance and the handy case, this trimmer is well worth the investment—it’s easy to use and delivers excellent results.

Philips with a Solid Beard Trim

The Philips Norelco - Beard Trimmer Series 7000 appears to be a solid grooming tool. The device was not charged on receipt, I plugged it in (USB cord included without adapter) and it was ready/fully charged by the time I came back to it after 30-minutes. There is a charging stand to facilitate this - however, I personally feel the stand and the razor fit within it appears as an afterthought in that it feels less durable than the razor itself. The charge has lasted through 3 shaving sessions so far. There are multiple shaving heads to allow for certain needs. There is standard trimmer with full metal blades and also an extended/wide trimmer head as well. The trimmer head works well, a precise and close shave without significant irritation after use. There is also a smaller, detail trimmer head - which I have not used. Switching between heads in simple. With the full metal blade trimmer there are two comb add on pieces to allow for cutting down on beard bulk. There is an adjustment wheel that allows for length adjustment between 0.4mm and 20mm using either of the combs. The combs are easy to take on/off, my toddler who was 3 was able to help me with this process simply. Otherwise, one of the largest/nicer aspects of this trimmer is there is a hair collector which attaches to the underside of the razor to catch hair. I would say it seemed like about 70-80% of the hairs were caught. It is not a catch all, but does help in reducing the amount of hair mess. Overall, I have switched to this razor from my previously obtained one - about 7-years old now. The shave is good and the device appears durable - allowing for wet/dry use. Time will tell the reliability but at this point, Philips has not disappointed.

This Philips Norelco Beard trimmer is a great trimmer with plenty of versatility and options for those wanting to clean up that beard.
First thing I love about this trimmer is the variety of attachments, specifically, the hair catcher. While it doesn’t capture all the hair clippings it does snag most of them. This is great because it reduces cleanup around the bathroom sink. Previous trimmers I’ve used just absolutely launch the hair everywhere making a big mess.
I also really like the charging stand. Can’t say how frustrating it is looking for that one proprietary cable when a trimmer dies. It’s very nice that the trimmer has its own place to charge on the counter top.
I tried out the fading combs and they worked pretty well. I don’t see myself using them on a regular basis but they do the job.
Another plus is the 40 trimmer settings. Can’t say I’ll ever grow my beard out that much but it is a nice option to have and I'm sure many will find it useful.
The trimmer cleans up quickly and easily by just rinsing it off with water.
Overall, a great beard trimming kit with plenty of options. Definitely recommend this one!

So far I am loving this beard trimming kit. Makes keeping my beard and mustache nice and neat and to the length I like it with ease. The kit includes a carrying case a charger stand charger cable but you need to provide your own charging brick. Also you get the trimmer with multiple heads and an adjustable attachment for many different beard lengths.
I find the rechargeable battery last me for about eight grooming sessions before needing to be recharged which is fabulous. This looks sleek and I really like the dial for adjustments of the length while trimming.
I have always had good luck with Norelco products, they do as they say and they just last usually I get tired of them and replace them before they give out. I'm hoping this beard trimmer is the same way and it lasts longer than I need it. I currently have six different beard trimming products as well as hair trimmers. The hair trimmers of the oldest that have only required a replacement blade which isn't bad for being over 10 years old.
I highly recommend this men's beard trimmer as it's a really nice cordless trimmer.

The Philips Norelco Beard trimmer kit surprised me. I have had several trimmers over the years as a long time beard wearer and generally the expectation is that it would be a mess to clean up when I was finished. The feature of this kit that stood out to me is the hair catch integrated into the unit for the clipper head. This caught about 95% of the hair as I trimmed my beard. This was a game changer for me. The trimmer is a solid construction and has a smooth motor with a quiet function. The other head options it comes with are limited but usable and I am finding this trimmer to be a great supplement to my tool kit already. It comes with a storage/travel bag, I would have liked a hard case but it’s not a deal breaker. The unit also comes with a pretty simple to use stand charger. This is a nice touch and is an easy thing to pack away for travel. I haven’t tested the full battery life yet but past experience with Philips gives me hope it will go for several sessions between charges. Very solid trimmer from Philips and I expect to keep my beard clean and trimmed!

The Norelco Beard trimmer 7000 tries to offer some good features, unfortunately they all seem to fail.
The trimmer comes boxed with a few accessories, though I’m not sure why they included 2 fading combs for a beard trimmer… Phillips included a Charging stand this time around, which is a nice feature to have for any device like this. Unfortunately, the trimmer isn’t very stable, it will fall over if you sneeze on it.
In previous Norelco series, the 7000 series housed a built-in vacuum to collect loose hairs making it a life saver for not clogging up your drains. This time around they included a click-on hair collector, this is neither practical nor useful. In fact, the only thing this accessory does is clog the trimmer, making you constantly need to take it apart just to empty it.
The trimmer has 40 different length settings you can trim your beard to, by attaching either the long comb or the short comb. I tried out the short comb, and I wasn’t impressed with the results I got. The comb is too bulky and extends too far to get a good precise trim, I wish they would have included a smaller piece that offers better precision. I will say with the comb off, the trimmer does do a good job at cutting; it glides very smoothly and cuts nicely.
Overall, I am disappointed with this model of the Norelco 7000. I have used Norelco trimmers most of my life and have always been very impressed with how they cut, unfortunately this one just didn’t meet the standards they set. Almost all the attachments are either useless or just too big, resulting in me not getting a good trim. The charging stand is a great feature, I just wish it was more stable and didn’t fall over as easily. I really wish they would have added the vacuum inside the trimmer instead of the useless clip-on hair catcher. If you are needing a new trimmer, I would say look for another model, as this one doesn’t cut it.
