Pico C has been a fun experience for home brewing. It offers the ability to pick and choose from a variety of beer and Pico has more breweries joining often so the choices in beer don’t get stale. Positives about the Pico are that it is easy/fun to use, great customer service, creates very good product and that it offers the ability to customize recipes to ones personal preferences. Negatives: Elements of the Pico I found difficult were that the CO2 regulator is not fool proof and found it difficult to figure out how to get optimal carbonation using the regulator (something I’m still working on). I also naturally carbonated one Pico brew and the carbonation came out perfectly. I also wish Pico Brew would complete all of the “how to” videos as some of them are not available online which makes for a little bit of guess work for some of the less important steps. Lastly, the carbonation in the serving keg tends to function like a growler in where it tends to get flat unless you drink over a few days. Cost: Overall I’m finding the price of each Pico Pak and accessories to brew each Pak to be net neutral and don’t feel like you save money using the Pico C but also not spending more than buying in a store. Overall, if you’re looking for a home brewing experience that is clean, easy, and produces great beer then Pico C is for you.

I received my Pico for Christmas and was a little intimidated at first because a friend does home brewing and his setup looked more like an overgrown chemistry experiment. The first batch was an Upslope Brown Ale that turned out fantastic (Even bottled it). I did order a Freestyle and had really no idea what I was doing with the different ingredients. However, there was a guide that changed each time you changed the recipe with a rough guideline what the beer would be like. It was fantastic and my girlfriend loved it too. Only thing I would suggest is including written instructions instead of online (But you can print). But I am old-school.

I received this awsome machine as a Christmas gift. It is perfect for someone who wants to brew and has little time. Every beer that I have brewed has turned out great. One of the best things about this machine is it is self cleaning. The only thing that would make this product better would be a phone app.
