Good Smart TV for the price if it’s made by TCL

It says it is made in Vietnam on the box. My research indicates that pioneer is owned by TCL electronics, so if it is a rebadged TCL then I would think that the quality is quite good for a budget class TV . The picture quality is good and the apps in general are great, including xumo which has lots of free channels. The only downside to this TV is I can not tune my dvr remote control to work with the mute function on the TV software . Also the picture settings on custom mode seem to change at random after I have adjusted screen settings. The updates must be done manually with a usb stick. I also would have thought that updates could have been done automatically with wi fi ? Beware I turned on closed caption function , have not been able to get it to work.

GREAT AS A MONITOR & TV

Very easy to switch between TV & monitor modes. If you're looking for a great alternative to a traditional monitor, I HIGHLY recommend the Pioneer XUMO TV. Works great as a TV with all my streaming services.

Also needs to have a better mirror screening option.

Solid budget buy

Bought the TCL S5 at the same time for another location and I like this one better visually, though the TCL has a faster menu with settings I like. Would definitely recommend. I researched on rtings for a while, then found that this one perfectly fit my setup (see photo)

Picture is clear and colors look great! The Smart UI could be better... I find it kind of hard to navigate it sometimes! Other than that, setup was smooth and my overall experience has been great!

Volume setting stuck on headphones.

Everything worked great except, when you wwnt to adjust the volume, headphone's would appear in the volume icon. But no heaphones was connected to the tv. This happened several times. Factory reset the tv and it still happened. Ended up returning the product.
