Perfect for home theater. Sounds great. Plenty of power. Many features and reliable. Easy to use and set up our of the box. Looks great. A lot of bang for the buck. Only wish it was in a smaller cabinet and that the radio features were easier to use. Cannot go wrong with Pioneer products.

This is my third Pioneer receiver, just fewer channels, less power then her big brothers, Looks and performs great and never had a Pioneer give me any need for service - always a Best Buy

Geek Squad picked this out. I do not like the way you have to change tuner for radio and remote does not work very well.

The description listed USB and MP3 compatible. I got it all set up and it wouldn't play anything from my iPhone. I played the supplied CD instructions on my laptop to find out I is not iPhone or iPod compatible. I had to box it all up and return it. I ended up getting an equivalent Yamaha receiver that worked with my device.

Needed a replacement receiver for my stereo system. Wasn't interested in all the fancy extras. This was perfect. High quality and enough features but without high price tag.

Sound from TV won't work at times.

Sometimes the sound won't work. I'm not overpowering the system. Just won't click on. Was using a lower wattage receiver before this and it worked, upgraded cause of delay. New TV has a much higher refresh rate. Not sure if mine is just faulty but I wouldn't recommend.

It's an ok receiver for anyone that doesn't want something loud. You have to turn it up pretty loud to get sound out of it then you have to deal with the temp warning lowering the volume constantly even when well ventilated.

The only thing I am not happy with is after working everything up the sound out of the front seems weaker the the side and rear speakers. My parents have the same set up and a different receiver and it seems louder from the front. Other then that I am happy with the product.

Was hard to setup the internal setingss.took awhile but finally succeed. The AV pass through doesn't always stay on the sat and cable setting sometimes I must turn the receiver on and off to get it working. But it is a decent receiver for the price.

Overall I'm not 100% pleased, I can't listen to certain types of music, the biggest problem is I'm into various genres heavy metal music overheats it quite quickly and turns off. I'd say it's good for a start-up, eventually I'll have to upgrade...

Overall function is good. The Bluetooth function is lacking control. You can only change songs and volume from your device. Cannot switch inputs with the Bluetooth function. I would have purchased a different item if I knew this ahead of time.

Excellent receiver that gets the job done

For a medium room the sound is more than enough. I was previously using optical cables on my Pioneer VSX-516-K but wanted to upgrade to get the maximum potential out of the equipment I already had via HDMI, potential 4K and 3D. This did the job and then some. My only beef is the lack of a physical manual in the packaging. I like to have the hardcopy on the spot with me when I'm setting things up and having a softcopy on my cell phone worked but not the best way to sift through all the information. Hence the loss of one star. I was also looking at a Sony product which had mic piece that would determine the proper listening levels of the room automatically. That really caught my interest, unfortunately they didn't have that in stock that day. Since I was a previous Pioneer owner and had to do the manual setting on my old model, this was not a deal breaker. As of now I'm loving this product. Solid listening volume for me is about the 30 range. Anything above that may stir up noise issues with the neighbors.
