Don't like the wire connectors as they are not easy to use

Great unit, once you figure out how to program............NOT easy for a novice...

For the price this is an option loaded receiver. Love it after getting it set up.

I bought this receiver on the 27th of June 2015 and it was great, but as of yesterday (6 July 2015) it no longer works, and will not even turn on, as if it is not plugged into a power source.

bought this... wifi..so so set up-easy useability..sucks with samsung /fios setup arc.useless took it back..bought a denon..

If you are not technically inclined do not purchase this system. The setup is very difficult for most people without any moderate computer skills.

I wish the paperwork would've told me that I needed to purchase an additional amp in order to make my turntable work.

Bought this for my husband birthday and it did not have a remote with it. The store made good on it.

I bought the Pioneer VSX 820 about 4 years ago and have been using it problem free. I have two Polk towers, a center, 2 bookshelfs, and 2 subs. All in all about a $1500 system. I use my system for about 40% gaming, 40% movies, and 20% TV. Like I said before I have nothing but good things to say about the 820. 0 issues with use almost every single day. I was walking around the store when I saw the updated 5.2 wifi, bluetooth model on sale for $250 and couldn't pass it up. Having bluetooth and pandora access is almost a necessity in this day and age. While I honestly thought my system sounded good before, it's markedly better with the new receiver. I don't know if it's the better MCAA programming or what but it just sounds so much more accurate now. Can honestly say it rivals my buddies Onkyo/Klipsch set up he put well over $5000 into. Calibration is really everything in a sound system and Pioneer's made leaps and bounds in this compared to the older model. I've used Pandora and Bluetooth a few times with no issues. Is this a $1000 receiver? Of course not. If if you just have a 5.1/2 speaker set up and need wifi/bluetooth you'll be hard pressed to find better for the price.

I just didn't have the time to read the material and figure out what to do to hook this up to all the components in my system. I was replacing an older "amp" and figured this would be great. I could not get the blue-tooth to work and all of my speakers would not come on. This system is rather complex if that is what you are looking for. Go for it.

Having difficulty connecting to internet. Spoke to friend who also has who had same problem.

+ Lots of power per speaker for the price + Lots of options and settings to tweak sound + Lots of sound effects, EXT Stereo is my favorite + Simple back-plate with minimal connection options + Looks sleek + LOTS of HDMI options + Somewhat simple setup overall (20 mins) - Only one optical audio connection (digital optical spdif cable) - Doesn't look as nice as pictures, the brushed aluminum does not stick out and you can see all the wires inside it from the top - The wire terminals are close together so its a little hard to get the wires in them - The wireless setup is relatively complicated - By default only the front speakers work, 2.1/2.2 setup by default, but switching to EXT stereo turns it to 5.1/5.2 - Most of the settings can only be tweaked with the remote ***Best-buy got it to me in 2 days, including the day i bought it, i have never had such fast free shipping***

Bought this reciever to update a tx-nr525 and must say i made a great pick. I had an pioneer 822k came smashed.from new wgg. Like all the new features this machine has built in wi fi bluetooth. And very simple to hook up just download the app from goole play follow the wast 10 min setup process. Theb the av5 remote app and your ready to enjoy some of the best sounds out there. Well worth the price i paid. 207.88 new..was on the net at the right time.great buy! Very pleased

i barely used this device, but it just went bad. It turns on, and then goes off by itself in like 4 seconds. My friend said he bought one somewhere else and he got the same problem. Bad product, never buy it. Trying to see if I can get my money back.
