I purchased the drive to attach it to a new laptop that comes sans optical option. GREAT CHOICE, since it not only has USB 3.0 speed, but also Blu-ray capability. Great for newer movie discs for the family. We will use this along with a large screen and projector at our campground. ;)

The writer works great and I seem to get more success with disc compatibility with other players.

A Great Job At Burning DVD's And CD's From My PC And Mac Computers To Save Externally.

I purchased this one without hesitation for my mac laptop because I couldn't find my LG portable DVD burner. Out of the box it was a tad larger than my LG burner but was made very well and it had a very solid feel to it. I had to burn a few blu-rays with this and I was amazed by the speed compared to my LG burner.

This is great to use on the laptops without cd/dvd. High quality product.

I have only used this DVD burner only one time so far. It performed as advertised. I am sure that I will be pleased with it.

Love the design, color, size, way it opens to insert a disc. However, it will not work unless connected directly to the mac, powered usb 3.0 hub (which powers 2 other similar drives) would not power up this device.. I would happily trade-off speed for convenience of being able to plug into a hub, and only use 1 usb connection (no y-cable)

At time just needed CD ROM reader for Chromebook but glad I got this for all my additional burning needs

I purchased this item planning extended travel during its usage. So far it is meeting my expectations.

Could use DVD software bundled with it. Need extra software to burn DVD Blueray.

Super portable and light. The price at Best Buy was also the lowest I found.

It plug and played on my dell PC. It works with my PC preinstalled burning software. Good to go

Nothing to rave about; nothing to complain about either. Works as advertised so we're happy.

Somewhat noisy drive. Supports blue ray discs but with additional software which you would have to purchase separately. This is expensive software and not worth the effort. You could do with less expensive normal dvd drives.
