Ive never successfully had a good Bluetooth connection with this receiver when I do get it working it skips and cuts out with multiple devices multiple resets and tons of troubleshooting. I didn’t get to use it much when first purchased if I had more time when I bought it to discover this I would have returned it. Completely disappointed in this product.

We purchased this just to hook speakers to for an outdoor room. We have XM radio we wanted to play and the DTS play app did not work well. I would say we could use it less then 10% of the time. The rest of the time it failed. Even tried reinstalling it but to no help. I will be returning it.

Picked up this receiver as an open box item for an absolute STEAL. Tons of power, amazing sound, and (eventually) completely connected the whole house in sound. However, I quickly realized WHY it had been returned, especially in such pristine condition. The interface, and menu system... I consider myself a pretty tech savvy person, and am well versed in all sorts of home theatre setups, and receiver systems. Humble brag now done, MAN was this complicated. The menu system was less than intuitive, and the paper work included with it was minimal at best. Probably took me a couple hours, including online search times, to finally get it up and running. Once it WAS setup, then man oh man. The unit has plenty of driving power for my sizeable klipsch towers, which I figured would be the case. It's the Chromecast built in, and streaming features that drew me to this party in the first place though. You can control the whole system from the app (as long as you're connected to the same wireless network), and as long as all your music streaming accounts are setup on your phone, you're good to go. Airplay works so easily, my mother in law accidentally started streaming music from her iPhone through the system, without even trying! Highly recommend this system, with the one caveat that initial setup is NOT for the faint of heart.

The Pioneer Elite Receiver has been one of the best things I have ever come across. It is so simple to set up especially with my 5.1.2 set up! Having built in Chromecast is awesome because I can play anything I want from Spotify and send it to my receiver to come out of my awesome Klipsch speakers. The different audio profiles makes this receiver worthwhile for me because I can tune is to fit my listening needs. It is also capable of 9 channels which is definitely something I'm going to be aiming to install in my home theater. My TV is connected to the receiver through ARC HDMI and it just makes my listening experience so make easier. I absolutely love this Elite Receiver and I would recommend it to anyone who needs that Dolby Atmos 4k experience in their home. I feel like I'm in an AMC every time I watch a movie and this receiver is part of the equation that makes that possible.

    Pioneer VSX-LX303 Home Theater Receiver

This has been a great Home Theater Surround Sound Receiver for the last 4 years and Best Buy has been there for me whenever I had a question. I recently ran into a situation where my wife likes the surround system down low which is hard for me to hear, so I installed quality surround sound headphones on ZONE 2, but they will not work when using and HDMI ARC Cable to provide sound to the Receiver although the sound works fine on the main speakers of the receiver. The manual says this will work, but I was able to verify with PIONEER Support and the Geek Squad that this older model will not work with headphones to hear what is playing on the main speaker system. With that said, together we found the FIX... I upgraded to the newest model VSX-LX305 and issue is resolved... On the new receiver it has a software switch to change ZONE 2 to ZONE B. Once you follow the steps in the user manual you are good to go. Now my wife can listen to the surround sound system at the level she likes, and I can listen to my surround sound headphones and we can enjoy watching movies / TV together.... The newer model VSX-LX305 is absolutely wonderful. Thank you Best Buy

    Does not support 8 ohms

On Best Buys site and on Pioneer's site, it list that this unit supports 8 ohms. I would expect it being an option in the set up, but only 6 ohm or 4 ohm is the option, this is the only reason why I rated this 4 out of 5 stars. Other than that, this is a great unit. Set up was easy and straight forward. The MCACC actually worked very well. it measured all my speakers pretty accurate in their distance from the listening position. Very happy with that feature.

I used to be a fan of Pioneer in my younger days with the sound system in my car, but completely have forgotten about them until now. After me and a friend of mine set my system up wiring the surround sound speakers and adjusted everything to the best sound possible, it sounded better than the movie theater! I'm not much of a tech guy, but I do love a great picture and even better sound. This blew my expectations out of the water! My highs my mids and my bass sounded crystal clear. They sounded all separate but together if you know what I mean and it was unbelievable! I am now a fan again a Pioneer and a new fan of Klipsch!!

    Great Receiver that has Everything

This Pioneer receiver was a nice upgrade to my home theater setup; it was a replacement to a discontinued Yamaha receiver from half a decade ago. Right off the bat, there were many convenience features that made setup and use a breeze. For starters, the using the auto MCACC setup takes about 5-10 minutes and it attempts to configure your speaker settings for you (sound levels and distance from viewer). It does an ok job; the only things I had to reconfigure were the subwoofer and dolby atmos height speaker levels. This step usually takes the longest, as it's up to each individual's preference but I was able to save a lot of time by doing the auto setup. Aside from the easy setup, the receiver itself offers a full package of features that is more than anyone would ever need. 9.2 channel support means you have the option to bi-amp any system that's 7.1 or below. There is also a plethora of built in music streaming services such as Spotify and Pandora, as well as Chromecast streaming. This receiver also comes with a feature called "Phase Control", which supposedly resolves the phase lag between the subwoofer and front speakers. It does work to a degree, but the difference isn't night and day. Overall, this is a great receiver. If you're looking for something that basically has it all (Dolby Atmos support, 9.2 channels, multi-zone, streaming services) then this is the receiver for you. While it might not be entry level, it sure is priced decently for the features it offers.

I don't (yet) have a 4K model, but I've hooked up this receiver to a Blu-ray player and my home network. It can play from many different web-based sources and also has bluetooth connectivity which is very nice. When paired with the right set of speakers, this receiver can output to very loud levels without distortion which is impressive. I suppose this is why it's considered "Elite." The only nit I would pick is that Internet updates take a very long time. The interface warns you that it will take 30-60 minutes, and it does. Such is the nature of all internet-accesible devices in this day and age.

    Nice Receiver but comlicated setup

I spent 5 hours trying to get auto setup and still didn't come up on the screen. It kept saying HDMI wasn't setup even thought I put back my old Pioneer receiver and it worked. Called BestBuy they couldn't help over the phone, they hung up on me. I guest they wanted me to pay for setup. Hooking up the speakers was easy. Pioneer doesn't say which App to download for setup. Maybe the review could be higher if the setup worked.
