Disc freezes less than half way through the movie and will not advance any further.

Not much needs to be said about this film, which most will agree is a modern classic, but I should point out (for those who haven't bought the DVD) that it also has bonus material worthy of such a classic, including plenty of featurettes, deleted scenes, and some very worthwhile commentary tracks! I usually don't buy a movie unless I feel it has tremendous re-watch value - this is one of the relative few that have qualified in recent years, and the bonus features, thankfully, meet the same high standards.

The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise are a great set of films. They're all very entertaining, witty, and fun to watch. Like everything else on Blu-Ray, this movie looks amazing and the clarity looks so awesome in the daylight scenes/environments on the beach, etc. The acting is superb, you get a great sense of all the characters and each actor brings a little something more. I highly recommend to pick up the Pirates of the Caribbean films.

This movie was brilliant. It had great cinematography (probably only bested by the 2nd Pirates movie) and was fun to watch. The characters were great throwbacks to old swash-bucklers, yet with new takes, ala Depp's screw-ball pirate captain. This is one of those movies I could watch over and over. It also has a great cast of superb actors and actress (yes, only one lead actress).

I bought the whole series for my son at Christmas. I had no desire to watch this type of movie, ever. Last month I decided to give it a chance and I'm so sorry I never watched this in the theatre! The action and actors were amazing as well as the storyline. I'm so glad I had the other 2 to watch afterwards.

No doubt the best of the Pirates movies. I did not want to see this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised... enough that I now proudly own it. The Blu-Ray has some great special features not available on DVD, and this is easily the kind of movie with enough visual fireworks and scenery that should be viewed in high definition.

This is the second best pirates movie. The best one is the second one i love it the action davy jones everthing i would reccomend that one. The thrid one i hated it was bad.Also if you really are a pirates fan and you have a psp you should get it both for the psp and for your DVD player.

I am not sure what the last reveiwer was refering to, because I have no framing issue on this blu-ray at all. This is one of my favorite movies and Blu-ray only makes it better.

There is nothing better than watching one of the biggest blockbusters and franchises in High Def. With interactive menus, an awesome cast, and with Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow, you wll be having a blast watching this movie, and even better, watching it in High Definition.

the first instasllment of the Pirates movies is a great one! It keeps you captivated throughout and never lets up, has everything that makes a good entertaining movie. Action, love, drama, comedy and more! This is something that you most watch! Good Disney fun!

This was an amazing movie, Johnny Depp was awesome so was Mr. Bloom & Mis.Knightley! They all did a great job making this movie what it is today, I would recommend this movie because Jack Sparrow is someone you really have to see on the big screen to truly enjoy him!

Easily my favorite of the pirates films, full of loveable characters & a really great storyline that kept you engaged into the film the whole time. Picture is stunning in BluRay! With so many special features to keep you busy for hours.

The movie is fun to watch and entertaining for anyone watching. Its interesting and fun, if youve never seen any of the Pirates movie watch this one. The sequels that follow this movie arent good, but this one is. Just think of this DVD as a stand alone movie

This is by far the best of the Pirates movies!! With a great story and great acting, this movie just blows you away. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to see a good movie.

I saw this movie and I loved it especially how Johnny depp acts. The movie has homor action and some other stuff. Personally I think this was the best one but thats just me. If I were you (which Im not) I would get this movie.

Great video. Colors are superb with 4K. Sound quality is outstanding.

This was a great way to end the triology, but it could have been shortened. The action was perfect and on point, the characters were believeable and exciting. The only other drawback was the Captian Jack solo sequence that kinda stopped the movie in its tracks.

Jonny Deep is just funny in this pirate movie and Orlando Boom is good as the love sick boy that is always in the way. The villian Captain Barbossa is funny when he explains to Elizabeth Swann that she is in a ghost story

Something for everyone. Action, comedy, drama, romance, and science fiction (with a little bit of horror, maybe). Johnny Depp is a great actor who perfectly fits this role. And Geoffrey Rush is just awesome.

I love it! It's a great movie and I just love Johnny Depp.
