Have all 3 parts and must say I like this one the must!!! Lot's of action and surprises........

This is the same great movie in high definition. Some of the scenes were almost 3-D looking.

The title pretty much says it all. DO NOT BUY THIS 4K Blu-Ray!! It's like Disney made NO ATTEMPT to upgrade this Blu-Ray whatsoever!!! It looks even WORST than the Blu-Ray that came out almost two DECADES ago!! This is worst than the Terminator 2 4K cuzat least there, despite how awful that transfer is, at least it was cheap. Disney had the audacity to price this 4k "Transfer" almost $25!! This is unacceptable!! Just stick to the old Blu-Ray, and avoid this 4k Blu-Ray like the plague!!!

Well folks, I own several hundred 4K movies myself and this one is not a good upgrade over the nice Blu-ray that has been out for some time. Although the audio has been upgraded to 7.1 Atmos, the picture is not a good one when comparing it to the Blu-ray. The 4K appears darker and colors do not stand out as you would think they would. The fires in the beginning seem dull to the Blu-ray. I have a nice set up, soundbar, 4K player and 4K TV with HDR. This is a disappointment to me on this release. Hold on to your Blu-rays for these pirate movies. The menus on the Blu-rays are far nicer as well.

To make a long story short, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl' put me too sleep, literally. I did see most of the picture, but found it so absolutely unoriginal and boring that I couldn't help but dose off during the middle of the film. This movie made a fortune at the box office, and I don't quite understand why, because for a movie to put me to sleep, it's got to be pretty bad. Widescreen.

What these enthusiastic reviewers forget to mention is that there are some major framing errors on the blu-ray version of "Curse of the Black Pearl". In some scenes, the heads of the actors are missing or cut off. (when compared to the theatrical release or DVD version.) Disney is aware of this problem, but has done nothing to correct it. If you contact them, they will take your name and address, and promise to contact you "if" there is any resolution. My suggestion is to avoid the blu-ray version until Disney decides to release a corrected version of this disc.

These positive reviews are for the BLU-Ray, which is great. DO NOT BUY THE 4k disc -- its TERRIBLE.

Save your money and purchase the blu ray or sign up for Disney plus cause $7 is about all it’s worth. Disney should be ashamed of themselves for even releasing this disc. $30 for a crap transfer, terrible audio and a lack of special features. I’d return my disc if I could.

This 4k transfer looks like a bad blu ray. The HDR looks fake, the quality is washed out, and the colors have been massacred.
