it was ok, not my favorite, but ryan gosling is excellent

it was a good movie and on sale a buy for me......

I found this movie to be sad, with a cheap ending.

I was really looking forward to the release of this movie due to the actors in the film. I felt the story line was weak and it was a struggle to keep engaged in the film.

I was a little disapponted. After seeing the good reviews, I decided to buy this movie and didn't really like it. It's a good thing I got it really cheap

It is okay at best. It tries to be more than it is and fails. It is too long and heavy handed.

I would take a pass on this slow paced flick, didn't see Bradley Cooper until almost half way thru the movie.

When I first came across this film, I expected a half-decent crime drama to kill two and a half hours of my time with. I was nowhere close to expecting the great experience I ended up having. During the first half hour, I smugly thought I knew exactly where this story was headed, but by the end of the first act, I was on the edge of my seat wondering what the hell was going to happen next. There are so many ways to describe the film that any one-sentence summary would not be completely accurate. This is more than just a typical crime drama. It is often a meditation on life and the importance of the decisions we make. Top-notch!

My husband and I love collecting great movies. We weren't sure about buying this movie at first but were so thankful we did. This movie is amaizing! Ryan and Bardley are incredible actors and it truly showed in this movie. The story is very well written, not like we expected, and well incorporated. It didn't seem to get much promotion or at least I didn't see much, it's probably because of all the *spoiler alert* cop corruption. Over all, we extremely recommend buying this film for your collection!

I had never seen this movie before when I bought it. I saw some great reviews for it on YouTube, so I figured for $7.99 (with a slip), I'd go for it. I'm glad I did. I grow more and more into enjoying Bradley Cooper's work. It's not one I'd pay full release price for, but if you find this in the $7.99 bin, snap it up, now. Even at $9.99, I'd still go for it. Easily recommended.

The Place Beyond the Pines is an incredible film about family and how it plays a role in each of our development and success. The cinematography alone is worth the price of admission. So many beautiful shots and scenes scattered throughout this film. Great performances by Gosling and Cooper only add to the experience. A really superb film.

This movie is amazing! The trailer was very misleading so keep an open mind when watching the movie after seeing the trailer because if you are expecting what is in the trailer and you see the movie you will be disappointed. But the film itself was, in my opinion, the best of 2013. I defiantly recommend this movie!

Interesting film focusing on three distinct story-lines over a multiple year period. Interesting connections between characters.

Great movie & a couple of the top performances out of Bradley Cooper & Ryan Gosling. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates a great dramatic story.

Didn't have much expectations when I initially purchased this movie, but it definitely kept my interest with the plot twists.
