This movie is a favorite for my wife and I every year. We had the DVD but upgraded to the blu-ray this year. Picture and sound were definitely better. And I like that there is a digital copy too as that comes in handy sometimes.

Classic movie for the holiday season. This steelbook looks great and the disc is from a previous bluray release. Overall, it's a must have for movie collections and to see what some believe to be John Candy's best performance.

Steve Martin and John Candy make the road trip trope enjoyable, with a little help from John Hughes, of course. The music is a bit more dated than Hughes' other 80s films, and Martin's brand of physical/slapstick comedy seems a bit jarring compared to films of today, but as a whole the movie is worth returning to year after year.

Funny!!! Gave as a gift and he loved it and laughed throughout the whole movie. John Candy was a funny actor. Miss seeing him in movies. Car they were traveling in was making the movie so funny. Best Buy delivery was quick.

Hilarious movie that takes me back to the days when smog turned the snow that lovely gray sludge color. Just not the same with the EPA breathing down our necks and the new electric Muskmobiles. Steelbook is nice, too.

Our family has viewed this John Hughes classic each Thanksgiving for quite a number of years now. It never grows old and gives both Steve Martin and John Candy great opportunities to display their comedy chops. There are plenty of memorable scenes, but for this reviewer, Dylan Baker's character steals the show. Great stuff!

A timeless classic about what it means to be wholesome, charitable to the less fortunate, concerned and caring. This movie has teachable moments to all and aged well. Good for the kids.

If this isn't part of your Thanksgiving viewing experience, pick this up and make it an annual tradition!! This movie is the BEST of Steve Martin, AND the late John Candy. John Hughes' best script, only because it is for adults, and not the teen comedy/drama that he is usually known for. Get it today!!

Such a wonderful comedy classic! Showed this movie to my wife as she had never seen it before and she loved it. It stands against the test of time. They just don’t make movies like this anymore.

While this film revolves around Thanksgiving, the overall theme of trying to get home for the holidays can resonate for Christmas as well. Candy and Martin are hilarious and have great chemistry. While Candy's character is annoying he is likeable.. Martin is also hilarious as the cranky one of the two guys.

This is not just a good Thanksgiving themed movie but a great comedy classic! It actually surprised me that this film was rated R and only dropped the F bomb SO MANY TIMES IN JUST ONE WHOLE SCENE!!!

John Candy, ans Steve Martin make a awesome team in this beloved story of a man trying to get home for thanksgiving day, that is until he runs into a shower curtain salesman whose unncanny and witty ways of traveling gets him.. , well , i don't want to ruin this movie . Watch and you will laugh, and cry!

May not be suitable for kids. Enjoy laughing at some of the most outrageous events happening in Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Watch as two unlikely and opposite characters struggle to become friends. Audiences will roar with laughter when they find that Del does not have his hands tucked between two pillows while he is sleeping.

This is a classic Christmas movie and full of laughs as we love both John Candy and Steve Martin! Plus it perfect to watch during the holiday season, even when not traveling. Great price for both the DVD and Bluray disks.

Probably can't say anything about this movie that hasn't been said, but I love this movie, it has a great mixture of laughs and serious moments. I wouldn't say this movie is a comedy, this is a great movie with funny parts. To me comedies are bad movies that are really funny, but this one is a good movie.

This movie is bar far one of all time greatest! The characters are are some of the best the world has seen. So hilarious, couldn't stop laughing. This movie will one day take the place as a top comedy in every household around the world. Hats off to the producers..

Another John Hughes classic. John Candy & Steve Martin were fantastic in this together. Hilarious movie with heart. Steelbook was excellent. Highly recommended.

This is by far one of the best Christmas films in existence. John Candy and Steve Martin are two of the best actors in the world at the time of this film. In this film you will get the best of these two iconic actors.
