I recently purchased Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II in 4K to try out my new 4K TV as much as for any other reason. They are both feasts for the eyes. Anyone who appreciates our one and only home, and the brink of disaster it is facing if we continue down our current path, should be inspired to take action.

This is without a doubt the most stunningly produced documentary I've ever seen. The series of six episodes beautifully captures details of life in various ecosystems including islands, deserts, mountains, and forests. The presentation follows various animals through discussions of how they eat, live, and mate and the ecological challenges they face and overcome. People of all ages should be able to relate to their stories and will marvel at the variety, versatility, and ingenuity of life on our planet. The superb narration by Sir David Attenborough is the cherry on top of this already perfect blend of beauty, education, and enthralling stories.Very young children may be stressed about the plights of some of the animals, but generally the circle of life is handled with sensitivity to all viewers. If you have a 4K TV and UHD Blu-Ray player, this is also one of the best showcases you will find for the improved detail and color capabilities of these devices.

Great watching any movie in 4k, the quality of the product, super sound and picture

The BBC has done it again! Amazing footage, sound, narration. Everyone in the family was "WOW!" every few minutes. You'll love it if you have a 4K UHD TV and BlueRay player. (I recommend connecting your player to the TV via UHD HDMI cable for best footage.)

Planet Earth II on 4k bluray is some of the best content in the 4k format available. It has colorful but natural scenery and beautifully shot scenes of animals and scenery. If you want great 4k content for your new 4k tv get planet earth II.

This is well worth the purchase. Much like the original planet earth for 1080p TV sets, this series is a showcase for 4k tv's. It's another excellently produced and entertaining nature documentary.

There are few things that show off a 4K TV with HDR than a nature documentary. Beyond that this is a great series that gives insight into the wide ranging animals of the world and their lives.

My family has learned so much by this! We love BBC and all the educational programs they have. The quality of this movie is outstanding!!! It is like you are there in that moment as well. Great buy!

the video is very good to watch with the family, we clear to watch. you will be very engage with it in 4K and i am very satistfied with it. my two boys even commented about how good it is.

4K with HDR.....you will be in constant awe thought the series. The cinematography is fantastic. I don’t know how they do it. Educational and fun to watch. This does not disappoint.

I had read a review that said this was the single best reason to own a 4K HDR television, so when I bought a 4K player to go with my 4K set I also bought the 4K Planet Earth II. I was seriously impressed with the first episode -- then I discovered that the way I had the player hooked up made it downscale the image to 1080P. Watched it again with the connection corrected and was blown away by the improvement in image quality. As others have noted, the difference between 1080P and 2160P isn't really dramatic on a small-ish (55") screen; the bulk of the visible image improvement comes from the increased dynamic range. This gets five stars from me for content and five stars for presentation. Highly recommended.

Another masterpiece to add to the planet earth collection

The Planet Earth series is without a doubt the gold standard of nature documentaries, and this worthy companion to the original is made all the more stunning in 4K HDR.
