Have the original Movie and have read the book neither movie follows the book but good interpretation in there own way

I enjoy the classic Planet of the Apes films, but this remake which I think is a rehash holds it's own as a totally new film. I enjoyed how CGI can now make it more realistic.

I’m a Burton and Ape fan. So it’s a no brainer I would add this to my collection. The flick stands alone from the original series tho-so be warned. It’s not a remake but a re-imaging of the classic Planet of The Apes. It’s 100% Burton. Great film

I love this movie and ordered it during quarantine. Best Buy offered the curbside pickup which was perfect. My only negative was the signage out front which was a tad bit confusing but it was a work in progress.

I like this movie more than the newer ape movies because here the apes look more realistic wheras in the new movies they are so overly computerized and fake looking

The movie was a great reboot try of a the original movies. I love the genuine make up and acting, too bad it wasn't a successful movie in its time. I like the feel and look so much that it made me loath the newer CGI based Planet of the Apes movies.

I am on of the few who enjoy Burton's take on the story. Not as good as the original of course but still a good story and burtons world

Not a bad movie, definitely not highly regarded by any means, but it's a pretty good modern (for its time) interpretation of the story.

The supplemental material is a real disappointment on this release, as the 2 disc DVD edition from years back had an excellent supplemental package that really should have been ported over. The picture quality is pretty good, an the film itself is fine, with an audio track that is excellent, though not reference quality. The disc encode is an artifact of the early days of the Blu-ray format, so this title is overdue for a revisit by the studio for Blu-ray.

I saw this in the theatre when it first came out. I knew I had to own it. The graphics are pretty cool. Actors where awesome

Great movie one of my favorite ! I like the fact that actors actually play the Apes makes the experience really unique and the fact they actually act as good monkeys ! Lol

Not tied to the newer ones. Stand alone story. A couple of story hiccups. Effects are good for a 2001 film, for what that says...

The movie was full of action. It didn't have blood and gore. They did a good job making the apes look real. It is part of the series of movies but if you haven't seen the others it really doesn't take away from this movie.

Move over Charleston Heston, Mark Walburg tears it up in a very great remake. Charles is in a cameo as a Gorilla, too funny

One of Mr. Mark's finest works in my opinion, Planet of the Apes gets that classic story back on the right track. Although it seems dated from the current offerings this film is sure to be a pleaser with anyone who has a tub of popcorn in front of them.

I Liked this movie because It was a good traditional remake of the older one. They had real people in costumes which I liked for a more real effect instead of digitizing them. Also, I always love Mark Wahlberg and I think he is great in this as usual.

This film captures the "spirit" of the original Planet of the Apes. Not as good as the original but entertaining.

A swing and a miss for Tim Burton only gave two stars for the makeup effects which we're amazing.

I like this movie I would have given it 5 stars until mark walhberg kissed the lady monkey. mark walhberg is really good as always

I always loved this movie for some reason. The story is interesting and a bit convoluted, check out the ending to see what I mean. If you haven't seen this movie, get on it because this is one of Tim Burton's best movies in my opinion.
