At work I have a wireless Plantronics headset that operates flawlessly and I have been using it for several years. Although a Plantronics branded head set, this wired headset was a real disappointment and doesn't even come close to my expectations. Yes it is inexpensive and when it worked had decent sound quality, but it should at least function for more than a few days! After the third day of use people in meetings would complain they couldn't hear me due to distortion and my mic was periodically dropping out. After some testing I figured out that the jack plugged into the computer was bad. After some research I found a much better alternative for the same price that I have been using it continuously for over a month without any issue. The Plantronics headset was summarily returned to Best Buy.
