Use every day to go jogging. Sound quality is more than adequate and to me it's a plus that I can hear my surroundings in case a stray dog starts chasing me which has happened. Waterproof and stay in place while jogging seal the deal.

Awesome head set. One of the few out there which allows you to pair 2 devices at the same time. Only wish the ear buds were individual and not connected to each other with the strap behind the head.

Bought these for my wife. 3rd set I believe. Hope that they have gotten more durable as she loves the way they feel and are in ear design. Will keep an update if they do not last.

I like the idea of these, but they hurt my ears. I understand that it is supposed to let you hear everything around you, but it was almost as if it made sounds around me intensify in my ears. I wish that it came with different size ear pieces. I had to return them.

Bluetooth Headsets Have Come A Long Way!

Pros: Great battery life, quick charging, good sound quality for listening to music, streaming media, and phone calls (see caveats in review), stays secure while active. Cons: Another gadget that needs to be charged, mediocre fitment, no customizable/adjustable ear tips, lag when evoking Siri/Google Assistant. I've dabbled with bluetooth headsets for several years, trying them every 2 - 3 years or so ranging from single earbud to corded stereo types. While sound quality was decent enough for me, people on the other side of the call would always complain that I sounded muffled, garbled or far away. For that reason, I've always favored wired headsets. Technology has certainly moved forward and made some great advancements with wireless headsets. With the omission of headphone jacks on many of our devices, having reliable wireless headsets is a must. Does the Plantronics BackBeat FIT 2100 fit the bill? Let's have a look. First the good, I was pretty impressed with the sound quality when I first tried them on. I wouldn't consider these audiophile quality or anywhere near that, but that was not my expectation when acquiring these. I would rate them as slightly above average to good as long as I seated the tips of ear tips into my ear canals. The left button functions as volume control by default and can be programmed for other functions with the Plantronics BackBeat companion app, which is activated by taps. The right functions similarly to single clicky tactile buttons on wired headsets with inline control. Short presses can be used to play, pause, go to next track etc. A medium press evokes OS digital assistants. A long press powers off/on the headset. The headset stays firmly secured while active and have sweat pretty heavily on them and even got caught in the rain with them, so the water/sweat resistance works quite well. Call quality is great provided road noise is kept to minimum. When road noise increases, there must be some noise cancelling technology kicking in as the person on the other side of the call says I sound distant. Other than usage on noisy roads or environments, nobody can tell that I'm using a bluetooth headset. Battery life is excellent and can get 3-4 days of use averaging about 2-3 hours of call time per day. Charging is relatively quick depending on battery level. A full charge from a low battery state takes about an hour or so. Now for the not so good. I can only wear these for about 30 mins maximum before my ear starts to develop hot spots and it gets quite uncomfortable to wear, bordering painful. The only remedy I've found so far is to disengage the ear tips from my ear canals and just have them float just outside of my ear canals and/or unhook the hooks from my ears. While the hotspots areas get some relief, audio quality and volume diminishes. Unfortunately there is no way to customize the fit other than swiveling the earbuds within a limited range of about 30 degrees. That's it. It's a one size fits most. I'm hoping the silicone softens up over time as the pain generated from the hotspot pressure points makes it unusable. This is a very your mileage may vary area as fitment will vary based on the size of your lobe, ear canal diameter and unique ergonomics of each individual's ears. My other complaint would be the lag when evoking voice enabled digital assistants. There's a bit of lag from when I medium press the right button to evoke Siri or Google Assistant. I'm used to evoking Siri/Google Assistant and speaking my query immediately. With the headset, it feels like there's a 1-2 second lag before the digital assistant is ready. Other than the cons I listed above, I'm quite impressed with the advancements in wireless headset technology. I used to swear by wired headsets only, but the Plantronics BackBeat FIT 2100 has made me think differently and would not hesitate to use it as it in lieu of a wired one, with the one caveat of being limited to 30 minutes at a time.
